Reinstalled Computer's OS, can I get my old character back from the Server?

Hey Guys,

Finally upgraded from XP to windows 7 and got some better hardware. Is there a way to get back to using my old character, or do I have to start a new character from scratch? Note, i'm connecting to the same server and my character is still alive and well (with a saw and 3 mags)

Why would you have to start over? Computer hardware has nothing to do with your in game character. You're fine, mate.

Your character data isn't stored on your PC, it's stored on the server database.

Just make sure you join an official server. Or if you we're playing on a private hive make sure you join the same one. It will check your CD Key with its database and load the character associated with it. Same CD Key, same character!
