A do not suggest list

Recommended Posts

A do not suggest list (DNSL for short) is exactly what it sounds like:

A list of things that, if suggested the thread is immediately deleted.

The list would be filled with things that are already going to be implemented in the game, simply aren't possible on the ARMA II engine, that would destroy the atmosphere and feel of the game, and things that the developers simply will not have.

As bad or unreasonable as most suggestions are, I think it should remain an open forum. If a post is made out of line, it will likely be deleted by the admins.

I think anything that doesn't sound stupid should stay that's about 5% of the threads so far. Maybe if people posted and supported the existing threads instead of making stupid ones we could see better updates.

what about a stickied index-thread? new player's forum has a sticky with a list of guides. would be nice to have something similar, listing common suggestions and their respective discussion thread. some subjects keep recurring: morality system, dynamic events, free-zones, new weapons, mechanics to inhibit pvp, buffing zombies etc

That sounds like a lot of work for the forum mods (who seem to be pretty hardworking folk already). I'd suggest that people be more encouraged to use the search function if it weren't so bloody obvious to begin with, half the forum weren't pushing it already, and if it didn't make me look like a total hypocrite* seemed like it would do any good.

Someone made an excellent thread of all the stuff that had been suggested and a bunch of stuff that had been suggested and rejected, but it got lost to the forum hack I think.

There was also an excellent thread of "things rocket had said" which cleared up alot of stuff.

Shame we lost those resources to some hacking idiots.

The only reason I suggested it was because ive seen it on many other game and mod forums, and I can definitively say that it has done much to alleviate the workload of forum mods and the administrators.
