an install question

Hi I'm new to this and need a little help.

I bought Arma II Operation Arrowhead by itself a while ago. I do not have the regular old Arma II.

I understand that I need the original Arma II for DayZmod. Will the Arma II FREE version work with the mod?

do I HAVE to buy the original arma II?

Hi, you don't need the full arma2, I think. You need Arma2's Operation Arrowhead and a copy of the free mod called DayZ.

I bought Combined Ops which is Arma2 plus Operation Arrowhead, which of course is also good to use with the DayZ mod.

Hmm, I was under the impression that you do need Arma2, as well as OA, but it is available for free from the BIS website.

Note, you'll get some lower res textures in DayZ using the free version of Arma2.
