Dying/Respawning

Hey guys, had the game about two days. Haven't had much luck and I've now run into an annoying problem. When ever I die am I supposed to respawn on the exact same position and have near to no health remaining? I thought you rez'd with normal health and no gear; not dying straight away...?

Yes. You are meant to respawn at another location with full health and no gear. This could possibly be a save/load error. Try reinstalling DayZ

Have you restarted your game since and played?

This problem occurred to me months ago. Restarting the game solved it. For me, at least.

I have restarted the game many times and still the same problem persists. I'll try reinstalling from scratch and see if that works.

Tell us how it goes. I'm out at a wedding at the moment (you can see my devotion to DayZ ;) ) so when I get home I'll reply with how to fix it if that doesn't work. I'd say your profile simply isn't communicating with the Hive properly.

So you're absolutely sure this is only happening to you on one particular hive, yes? Have you tested it out on other hives?

Re-installing now. I have just installed dayz commander as it seems alot better then sixlauncher. 'Cause I'm only new to dayz I still haven't grasped all the knowledge about hives/servers and all that jazz. But I can tell you that I was having the same problem on more than one server, and then other servers would start a new character for me with different gear.

Dudz, when you look at the list of servers, if there is NO mention of "private hive" or "chernarus" then it's probably a server that is part of the regular dayz main hive. However, if a server does have one of those phrases in the title then it is part of one of the many private hives Private hives are groups of private servers that run a separate version of dayz. So you get to start afresh with a new character. If you wanted you could play male on the main hive and female on another hive, as they are separate. Do you see? I hope that helps but ask if I haven't made it clear. :thumbsup:

I had some time to jump on a server and everything worked fine, quick join and all. As soon as I found Kamenka (spelling?) a hacker decided to ruin all the fun so that dayz session was called short lol

Yes. That is the correct spelling. And yeah, you'll get a lot of that... (hackers)

Now I have another problem; screen shake. I have tried logging in and out of servers and the screen just shakes constantly. My guy is not injured at all.

Doesn't matter, died due to my screen going ape sh*t and now I start again.

Try our server, details below. It has 24hr daylight and frequent server restarts plus a roll back option should we get hacked, which does happen from time to time.
