should i buy arma i'm just not sure because ive seen that there are a lot of hackers in it is this the case?

Yes.

ARMA II CO is an AMAZING game, even without DayZ. It's the most accurate military simulator you can find, and you get to enjoy it with your friends.

DayZ is just icing on the cake. It's not the only Mod for the game either.

Not if you find a good server to play on. Bear in mind that the SA is being released soon (Alpha build) so if money's tight wait until that comes out.

As RAGE points out there are thousands of superb quality addons/mods/missions/islands etc.

Definitely a worthy purchase *IF* you have the pennies.

Try Arma2Free first to see if it will run ok and if you like the playstyle/control system.

If you're only interested in playing DayZ and nothing else, then I say no. If you want to play more than just DayZ then it is totally worth it.

Hello there

I have well over 50+ gigs of mods, so free up some disk space if the bug bites you.

Dayz Commander and The Six mod launcher offer simple ways of installing and launching dayz etc. There are other launchers out there though but they're more aimed at arma in general.
