anima (DayZ) 1 Posted November 13, 2012 Hi i havent bought arma yet but i really want to play dayZ and i read that the mod will still continue to be updated along side the standalone but will the standalone have more than the mod? The Standalone will be capable of things the mod cannot, and rightfully so, considering we're paying for it. I believe it is worth waiting for the standalone. When the SA comes out, the MOD will go in a separate direction, these forums are going to be very interesting. One group commenting on things the other side don't have access to. Then the non mod owners will be buying ARMA 2 all over, because the mod owners will be inundated with more stuff (a community vs 1 team are going to be more productive) existing mods added towards the dayz mod, take your pick, it will happen! 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I believe it is worth waiting for the standalone.The mod will continue to be updated by modders and the current community in private hives if they feel like doing so, but Dean will be moving to the standalone and leaving the mod alone as soon as he does.
