Wynne 9 Posted November 13, 2012 Hey peeps, i have a rather annoying problem, and am not quite sure why it has occurred or how to fix it. I have a huge camp on one public server, with about 5 of each weapon that i have acquired through legitimate ways, and a fair few vehicles. Up until iv had no problems, but now, the server only shows up on Day Z Commander, and not actually in Day Z server filtering, and when i try to launch into it from Day Z Commander, it just stays on 'Wait for Host''. Why has this occurred all of a sudden? Is there some kind of fix? Is the server updating to the latest patch?(it was still 1.7.2.6). It would really really suck if i cant get back into this server, because i was just about to move my camp to a server with active admins, and all the gear iv got has taken me way to long to get :( 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
herrjon 478 Posted November 13, 2012 Could've been closed. A number of servers are doing this with the standalone coming up, or close it to open a server on a different map. Easy way to tell this on commander is there will be a cloud with an 'X' over it next to the name and the ping will be over 1,000. Then make sure the DayZ patch and Arma beta patch is correct. Sometimes servers won't update the name, so you may have to play with it a bit until the text is white. Aside from that, see if they have a website you can go to for information and/or contact the admin/hoster.I feel your pain though. I've lost 2 large camps (at least large for one person) and some vehicles to closing servers, but as many say, this is DayZ, don't get too attached to your gear. Wynne 9 Posted November 15, 2012 The server is back up, but when i try to log in i am given the ''This server is running an incorrect version of the server side application''. The server is still 1.7.2.6, and i cannot join any 1.7.2.6 server at all, but 1.7.3 servers are working. I checked Day Z Commander for 1.7.2.6 servers, and ever server that came up was empty. pox11223 6 Posted December 1, 2012 by now you probably figured it out, if you didnt the answer is simpleyoull need to roll back to the version of the server through dayz commander or wait till it updates, by now most/all servers should be 1.7.4 but the one i go on for some reason switched to 1.7.3 last night and is locked, only one i know of so far to do a weird thing Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Sula 1205 Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Hi Wynne. Unfortunately, that is what happens when admins don't keep their servers up-to-date. In my experience, it's private hives this happens on. I've lost so many camps on servers I can no longer access. It takes me half an hour to find a server to play on a lot of the time, and my list of Recent servers on dayzcommander is just a list of servers I've failed to get into. I find it frustrating but I don't think there's anything we can do about it except find another server or complain to the admins.
