Trouble with installing Dayzmod(dayzcommander)

Recommended Posts

Hi.. I'll just get straight to the point, I've downloaded both Arma 2 and Arma 2 operation arrowhead, I've then opened both, Downloaded Dayzcommander.. But when I try to update Dayzcommander it says "It doesn't appear you have Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead installed... would like to buy Arma 2:OA". Anyone know what's wrong? (By the way this is my first post.)

EDIT: It also says "1 files failed to validate and wll be reacquried" When I validate both games.

Look in the settings panel of DayZCommander, see if the ArmA directories have auto detected correctly, otherwise you can set them manually.

Did you set the ArmA OA path manually under settings? It doesn't sound like they are correct.

I've clicked Arma2 Directory, Arma2 OA Directory and Dayz Directory. If that's what you mean..

Well are the directories listed correct? If they are not, you need to put in the correct ones. I'm going to assume atleast the OA path is wrong since it's telling you to check the path under settings.

What excatly do I need to type in?

EDIT: They all currently say "Replace with full Arma2 Path, Replace with full Arma2 OA Path, Replace with full DayZ Path"

That depends entirely on where you installed ArmA2 and OA.

Mine are:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\ArmA 2

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead

Find out where you installed them.

I assume when you install DayZ, it will update that one automatically (now that it can find the ArmA directories to install it). Mine is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\@DayZ

Update the path for your @DayZ folder then manually just like you did the others.
