Downed Heli Questions.

Hello Everyone!

I am really loving this Mod so far-- but it seems I am unable to find out much information about the Heli-Crashes.

1. Are Heli-Locations perma when they spawn or do they De-spawn?

2. I am hearing a lot of issues with unlootable Helis. Was this addressed?

3. If Heli-Locations are not Perma; What is the best way to go about finding one of these Heli's?

1. I am reasonably certain heli-crashes are randomly spawned and stay until server reset.

2. I have heard this too, but it was only true for the green ones iirc which would turn you into a boar or fire you 500km into the air etc. Not sure if it's been addressed, but I have heard no complaints about them in-game. Ever.

3. Wander about open fields (carefully). I believe they have set spawn locations, but don't always spawn in the same places upon server startup.

Just to add to this;

They do spawn randomly on server restarts and yes there were crashed green hueys that fired you up in the air!

The correct crashed helos are grey UH1Ys, if the miniguns on either side are lit up as if they are shooting then it is glitched (to my knowledge), but if not it should be fine and will spawn loot.

I found a crashed heli on the NW airfield just a few days ago. Minigun was lit up and loot lying next to the helo, very good loot. Iirc I was running the latest beta patch, which was 93666 at that time. Server was US16 or US18.

Not sure though if that crash site would have spawned any more loot, since I didnt feel like hanging around for too long. But I guess they kind of work now.

The open fields near the center of the map are the best places to look for downed hueys. All around Stary Sobor and S/SW of the NW Airfield is where I've had the best luck.

The big question is, does the loot respawn after it has been taken.

My friend and I took a DMR and m249 SAW machine gun from a loot heli.

We didnt get back to checking it, but we wondered if those loot spots would repopulate after a while..

KoKane - Good question. I would assume so if they are limited in spawn.

If not, well thats even rarer than I anticipated.
