Message to serverhosters (2012-11-23)

Hello people!

Hive 0.8.X has been available for quite some time now since 1.7.3 of DayzMod.

The old hiveext 0.7.X is now disabled. Please make sure you upgrade if you havent already!

Only the official hiveext is supported, not thirdparties.

If you run a server that uses public hive, you must allow hiveext to fetch certificate on port 80 TCP remotely (it downloads certificate with connection details on each startup).

Ping serverhosters.dayz.nu and cdn.dayz.nu if you need to white list ips. cdn.dayz.nu has a number of IPs in rotation, you might have to add all if you want very strict firewall rules.

Public hive always runs the vanilla setup of hive, with the official vehicle numbers and official spawn locations.

This thread is not for support or discussion.

This is simple an info thread for people still on hiveext. You've had ample time to upgrade now :)

Hello,

We recommend that all serverhosters make sure that they use the latest hiveext version released along DayZMod 1.7.4.4 .

Please grab it from http://serverhosters.dayz.nu/.dayzhosters/%40Server-1.7.4.4-Full.rar

This is especially important for serverhosters on public hive. We will deactivate old versions during the weekend.

Some of the updates bring a couple of data corruption bugs that Rajko caught.

If you use other server flavours, make sure you follow their recommendations and update guidelines.

/Ander

Topic closed for discussion, this is just an info thread.

Bugreports and similar can go into 1.7.4.4 release thread.
