esuoh 35 Posted November 11, 2012 Besides the hacker issue, the very first thing that I love about private hives is the side chat. I get the reason why it was removed, but it brings so much more depth to the game, and it gives you the freedom to create an actual community around a specific server. I don't talk or get along with any of the players of the public hives I play at, but on the private hives I do play, I had twice the fun and I actually talk and help other people.I think Rocket should rethink and bring back the side chat to the hive servers. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I like the idea of finding a walkie talkie and having direct communication when in range of another player; and otherwise you are alone in the world. This is how I played most of my time in Day Z.It wasn't till I joined a server with side chat when I actually met people to team up with, which added a new element. So I can see the advantage of side chat but at the same time I wish it wasn't there.
