Choices, choices. What guns to use?

So I just recently made me a trade of:

My M4A1 CCO SD plus an Alice Pack and Jerry Can

for:

A coyote backpack and a tent

seemed like I would be losing out a little bit, but it turns out that the dude handed me all the stuff and then I found out he put a free AS50 and like 6-7 full NATO magazines in there, plus a satchel charge, blood bags, cooked meat and some other goodies. I am pretty bad at sniping, but I already have an M4A3 CCO for CQC stuff. Should I learn to snipe and keep the AS50 in hopes of killing dudes with it, or trade it off for some other gun I could use, like an L85 AWS or a FN FAL plus NVGs?

Or if you don't like my ideas for the trade, post what you think I should trade for (giving the fact that I already have an M4A3 CCO and a G17). Thanks!

You should try to trade the as50 and tent for something, but 1st lay down the satchel in the ground where ever u are trading. Hope you get where this is going.

Your M4A3 is about as good an all-around weapon as you can get. Keep the backpack, and toss the rest of the stuff that has no doubt been hacked in.

Well Damn dude you got a Visit From Bambi Santa keep the AS50 cus as soon as you trade it off they will just kill you with it instead Conserve its ammo and keep it to counteract Campers and survive most people

Yup, the M4A3 CCO is probably and arguably the best gun in the game. If others are more powerful, others longer range and others quieter, but the M4 is deadly enough, quiet enough, loads of ammo and the torch comes in very handy from time to time.

If you do want night vision I would recommend NOT getting FN FAL AN/PVS-4 NV. I've had a couple and it's really a waste. It's useless during the day if you play on servers with out cross hairs. At night you only get night vision through the scope so you are still bumbling around in the dark. Getting separate night vision goggles would be far more useful. Also the FN FAL is so fucking loud. Zombies and players com running from miles around! Also the recoil is insane.

Would much rather have:

L85A2 with AWS.

M4A1 CCO (SD version does same damage)

M4A3 CCO

These rifles have nice optical gear, do significant damage, aren't crazy loud, and have low recoil. With some NVG you'd be much better off than the FN FAL AN/PVS-4 NV.

I've currently got a few weapons at my tiny little base. I'm using a DMR and a FN-FAL with night vision, an AS50 and a SAW 249. The AS50 is out of ammo because I used it to hunt animals the other day. I have more steaks than I will ever eat.

I no longer rate any of the dayz weapons as perfect or great because they're all too loud, too weak or the ammo is too hard to find. But if I had to choose a weapon a gun, I'd go for the AK-74 Cobra. If I had to choose a weapon, I'd choose the axe over any other weapon, any day. :thumbsup:

sweet guys, thanks for all the help! I got a base set up with a bike and the tent pretty well hidden (so I hope) but I keep most of it with me at all times. I also found an MP5A5, not sure if it is really worth wasting the backpack space on. Gonna save it all in my tent and pull it all out to see if that dupe-server-reset thing still works, crossing my fingers!

also, I still haven't even thought of spending a bit of that NATO ammo, too damn rare! Might trade some away for more M107 rounds instead, get more ammo that way but still carry both for emergencies.

I figured that the AN/PVS-4 is useless but it is still soooooo cool! my favorite gun in the game right there. If not I would probably go for a regular FN FAL plus NV Goggles at least, or maybe even a Bizon plus a crap ton of ammo. Or, even better, buy a bunch of Satchel charges and have a bombing run on Cherno :3

M4A3 and guns like it, they're battle rifles. And for some reason hackers use them a lot, but they're not that great.

kay, turns out as far as I am concerned the dupe thing doesn't work anymore, won't let me save vehicles or save tents. So down with that bug! yay.
