Zombies.

When I first started playing i used to crawl around all over on my belly. Then I realised how easy it was to lose zombies, run in building and go prone, they will ignore you, duck into a bush they will ignore you.

Though Ive just realised you will know this from Frankies vids probably. Still just incase you missed it xD

Notice the ear/eye icons on the right side of the screen.

Notice how your stance, running speed and ground surface affects your sound and visibility level.

My advise is to actually run around while dodging Zeds (see how you can lose them) and actually go into the cities and get killed.

Once you are killed a few times, you won't feel so frustrated when later on in the game you are killed.

DayZ is a game where you have to remove the concept that you can win in the game.

The reality is that sooner or later your character of XXX days will die. But each life is like a small story.

Finding a server is the hard part. Me and my friends prefer LOTS of vehicles, because if someone dies (which can happen with bugs, hacks, lots of BS) then their night is over.. Hours and hours to walk places, thats taking the direct route that might get you killed again.

So we play lots of vehicles, so they are used as transport and frequent enough where everybody doesnt hide/camp the vehicles.

Admin abuse is a big thing too.. Almost every single admin you run into can see your location and/or gear. Some servers will absolutely abuse this power and sadly even some will have this "We're that good" attitude about the absolute impossible. Get on Teamspeak, make sure they arent teenagers or socially retarded. Do not delve into the server wholey until you can confirm the admins wont be pricks. A large MAJORITY will be. Example is GamersGoneWild Namalsk..

Mostly its because they are playing the game too, with you. Imagine the times you die and go WTF HOW? GOTTA BE HACKS. But you know its probably some nerd laying under a tree for 4 hours because his parents didnt hug him when he was younger. When these admins die like this, they kinda have to check if its legit. Cant unsee stuff. Sometimes its just a good admin, in a bad crowd (like US 1979). The admin is part of a 'cool' crowd of youngsters and they manipulate him into calling out locations of players, their gear, vehicle spawns, ect. This spoils the experience for anyone playing there.

Pick a good server and learn the game, ride vehicles, shoot guns, and learn the mechanics. Wait until you find one that isnt fishy for like a week straight, before calling it your home.

That parody song made my rectum close up. Seriously hasnt reopened since.. It was that bad. Doctor appointment tomorrow, hopefully no long term damage was done. Avoid that video though just in case.
