Logged off fine last night, logged in at lunch today - respawned without items in diff location, showed as having died

Well... that was fun.

Last night I parked an ATV with some stuff in it and a unpacked a tent nearby in the same area. Far away from civilization. Then I logged off, near some trees, not in them, but near them.

Logged in at lunch an hour ago and showed up immediately as having died after logging into the server. It showed my hands in front of me, like I'm laying on the ground, with a guy in a Ghillie right next to me and the world was entirely bare and devoid of structures or trees. No one else showed as being on the server but me?

So, I tasked out, closed the window (i.e. stopped the game process) then logged back into the server and it showed me at Otmel, IN THE WATER, devoid of items/weapons or a backpack. During the login portion where you choose your team slot, it did say in the info UI on the bottom left: "I love you" or "I love you all" I don't recall... that was kind of odd...?

The only thing I kept was my clothing, hunger, thirst and poor health the way I was before I logged off last night. I didn't have a backpack or any of the items including the watch, compass, map, hatchet,etc. Essentially I had to bust ass all the way to Elektro and restock, which that was bare to begin with?

The server was hacked perhaps?

The first bug where you logged into to those barren fields was the Debug plains.

Holy hell this game/mod has a learning curve that rivals Eve Online's. So, basically I should have just walked South East and I wouldn't have lost all my stuff... great. Awesome. Love it. *sigh* Getting so tired of constantly starting over... at least spawn more regular bikes... gaaaaaah!!!!
