They just deleted all my database and everything, and they didn't even tell me. I had 2000 players in my database and they lost everything.

Their support is shit.

And they don't respect their costumers.

Go to DayZ.St, DO NOT PAY SURVIVAL SERVER A THING.

Agreed Survival Servers are the biggest bunch of con artists and thieves to ever enter the server business.

My server was down for 10 days and not working properly for alot more. Did I get compensation HELL NO!!!

I am now with DayZ.ST and the server has worked the whole time. The only problem was the vehicles being deleted after Bliss v4. It took them 1 hour to fix, that's right 1 HOUR. You look through Survival Servers forum and it has been going on for days.

Emails are answered straight away, where Survival Servers give you a generic shit answer after 36 hours.

AVOID SURVIVAL SURVERS LIKE THE PLAGUE!! THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISEASE!!!

I would recommend everyone to switch to DAYZ.ST

I finally cancelled my service with SurvivalServers earlier this week. There were more problems with my server and I wasn't ready to wait a day for a ticket response again. I'm very happy with my DayZ.st server, works great, and I get responses and solutions to problems in a fraction of the time that it'd take SurvivalServers to just say something to the effect of "We're looking into this issue and will get back to you in 24 hours".

Gotta admit, This setup wait, The orange pending button which hasnt changed in HOURS is making me think twice. Now seeing the competition with "instant setup". Although i did game on a 40man server which was stable, well run and had no issues. That was provided by SS which is the reason why I went with them.

But, If i end up having to wait a day for a reply, or days to get it up and running again, I'll move to DayZ.st.

But ill give SS a shot first, they earned it due to the fun i had on one of there 40mans DE servers

Survival servers is literally not worth your time. All you get for your money is a server that doesn't work and a staff that doesn't care (and takes forever to answer tickets).

Dont waste your money or time and find a REAL host!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

WTF. Because product was intangible merchandise, PayPal sides with the service provider, nice loop hole their SS!!! douchebags...

I just wanted to pop in and say I also was a survivalservers.com only and THEY ARE TRASH! Very very slow customer support, server runs ok, but lame server over all. Nothing spawn'd right in mine. I think its great to see this type of feedback on the forum - forcing companies to try harder will not only make them better, but give us a better product for the same if not lower cost. DayZ.ST is not bad.

I just want to reiterate that DayZ.st is awesome. They had a fairly security problem today. They owned up to their faults, informed their customers as soon as they could, fixed the problem, and then offered refunds to anyone who felt wronged by the problems. They do customer service correctly.

yeah, but thankfully for a very easy to use control panel (that is functional too btw, unlike SS), I was able to do a restore in 3 simple clicks and BAM!, it's like it never happend!

Any BAD reviews about Dayz.St ? any complaints about them at all ?

I hate to interject some non-self entitled speech into this "RAH RAH FIGHT THE POWA" nonsense, but in order to level things out, here's my experience with SurvivalServers for the last two months.

1. When I started renting my Public Hive from them, they were the cheapest on the market. They were open and provided all the tools I needed to maintain and control my server.

2. I've had several issues pop up over time, and either solved them myself or in some cases, had to ticket Survivals support. The average response is in the 18 hours range, which I honestly find acceptable, given that DayZ itself is a fickle beast, owing to it being an Alpha right now. Thing's can quickly cause issues where previously there were none, but that is not Survivals fault.

3. I recently also purchased a Private Hive from them. This has had *way* more issues than my Public did in its first week, but that, again, is not Survivals fault, and they should be commended for willing to give support to you for anything that hasn't been caused by their own actions or the servers they provide. Every single one of my various tickets has been answered and sorted. They've not ignored me, they haven't insulted me, and have always solved the problems I raised to their attention when I could not do it myself.

About three months ago I looked into renting a DayZ server and the cheapest I could find was ~35 euros a month or 60~ dollars. Survival is half that price, and I feel given the quality of the responses to my issues that the price is right with them. Their support is not instant, and could cause problems for some higher-end issues, but they work towards solutions and I would be hard pressed to express disrespect to the service they're providing me.

I've had problems with my server from time to time, but they always responded fast and have helped to find out the best solutions possible. They also provide very detailed information about problems if asked, and never talk down to their customers.

Having a DayZ server is probably always going to be a janky experience at best, but it gets infuriating without helpful and honest customer service. That's the key difference between the two companies.

I'm personally not trying to sound self-entitled when I post about SurvivalServers. I had servers with both DayZ.st and SurvivalServers for a while, and found that DayZ.st simply did a much better job for less money ($10 a month less).

I am currently having an issue with SS i would like to share,

Got a server a few days ago, against my better judgement clearly. (so sue me)

worked fine the first day, no problems, tools worked, database worked etc etc. no complaints, it was quite fantastic.

there was a problem with TCadmin adding in a secondary user as an admin but not the end of the world, so i sent off a medium priority ticket. at around 11am. the server was still running, i was able to add in a few buildings and such, everything was good and proper.

they released 1.7.4.4 finally well after the rest of the community (red flag) follow the install steps, unistall that, install this, resintall this. no problem

Load up server and nothing. submit a second ticket, first one has never been answered now well over 24 hours.

Now we have a broken server, missing some core server files, and 2 open tickets one over 24 hours and the other approaching 12hours open.

during this time i have noticed 2 changes to the announcements on the SS website as well as a sale. very nice customer service.

I was really trying to hold off on contributing to a thread like this, but this kind of service pisses me off, whether its 10,20,100,200 dollar server, the service should be as advertised.

edit:

I finally fixed my own problem. No thanks to them. They got back to me on my ticket and told me instead of making a secondary login for TCadmin for low level admins or granting access to users to just reset the server that i should just give out my main PW that 'its all the same" other then the fact green users my now have access to re configure the whole server.... this guy really has no idea how to run a business or anything about security and i really hate to say that about someone i dont know.

I wonder how many more complaints are needed before SS is banned from advertising here? It seems unhappy customers cannot even get their money back due to their TOS and zero recourse through Paypal. It seems everyday people are getting duped.

I just cancelled our server with SS. They suck. Red chain every 20 minutes, 5$ a month for weak sauce admin tools, laggy, no support, no 1.7.4.4?

You can see my experiences with SS in their thread but I'll be writing a full summary in this thread as well as theirs when the whole saga finally comes to and end (wonder if they even manage to get the host up before the subscription ends)

Just wanted to do a quick post to remind people

Now we are hosted with Dayz.St and it's like a dream after 1 month of SS hosting, well I say a month it only really worked fully for about a week of that....
