Ive been wanting to buy arma 2 for awhile now but i dont know where to get it. I would like to get the game that supports the Day-Z mod, do i buy it online or in stores? thanks

You can buy ArmA 2 : Combined Operations on steam, standalone is out before the end of the year though so you may want to wait for that.

You can get to the ARMA II Combined Ops page by clicking Here, However as Smasht_AU said, the standanlone DayZ game is being released at the end of the year.

Whats the standalone thing? and how many GB is it?

Standalone is the new DayZ release, that will not require ARMA 2. No details are known about it at this point.
