Is server hopping bad?

I play on a private hive, it works great, no server hoppers and minimal hacking

My Official server and I paid for the game... So regardless of how you think I should enjoy the game I am going to continue playing it how I want to.

I honestly don't see the point of server hopping. Why waste hours hopping from one server to the next just to get some gear.

Actually one of my previous pastimes was to wait in the good loot spots or sniping positions for hoppers. It usually didn't take long before i could bury my hatchet in their head.

Ahhh, the good old days.
