Toolboxes?

Hello everyone, simple question, does anyone know if cars still require toolboxes, i remember hearing somewhere that there were no longer needed, but cant confirm. also they seem to be incredibly rare or non existent now. thank you for your time.

As of right now they are not needed and are not spawning. Iirc the new 1.7.1 patch will enable them again and they will be required to fix vehicles.
