Can't repair wheels.

Hey,

I crashed in a fence and the front wheels got broken. I got 2 new ones and it won't give me the option to repair them.

Please help :-\

first you have to find the right place for repair

second you need a toolbox

I have the toolbox. All the options I get is to fix the fuel tank, which is orange, so that works.

I think there's a bug with repairing damaged vehicles in the new patch unfortunately.

It means that everything is lost because I can't transport my good back to camp because of some vehicle repair bug.

The mod is still in alpha, fixing a bug only for it to break something else is pretty common this early in development. You'll have to just put up with it or downgrade to the last patch for now, 1.7.4 won't be too long.

It's alright, I'll just leave my vehicle there and maybe when I try I a few days it'll work :D

Just to make sure, Im sure you already do so dont get defensive if you dont (interwebz people tend to burst a blood vessel if you imply they might not know something) BUT you do definitely have the tires in your main inventory and NOT in your backpack?

Yes, I double checked that :D But even if you don't have the required parts, you stil get to choose which part of the car to repair unless it's completily green. But the wheels just don't show up :P

I've come to accept though already that I probably will loose my gear in the car, but I'll just man up and get a new car. I've seen a few while driving through on this server I play on so I know where to go.

I've seen a couple of people reporting that they can't repair wheels on a damaged vehicle with the new patch now. Repairing a fresh spawn is fine but once you damage the vehicle they seem to be irrepairable. :(

Good man, maybe you can find another vehicle and transfer your gear over. Careful with the wheels on this one though! xD

^ Yes, I have my camp with loads of good gear as well, so I'm not worried :D

Another question I have, if I blow up my vehicle? How long will it take for it to respawn again in another location?

Ahhhh so thats why Ive been seeing lots of cars that have been abandoned after a crash. You know when you see a car at a tree or roadblock, i guess they damaged their two front wheels and couldnt fix it so had to abandon it like this guy. Makes sense now. i mainly play solo and dont really bother with cars, but thats a bitch of a bug >.<

Repaired the fuel tank, which gave the car a little "bump", and all of a sudden was the wheels back up. Lucky for me that no one looted my gear while my vehicle was stranded in the north-west airfield for 9 hours :D

Did you try shooting the wheels and seeing if they became available to fix?
