Couldn't gut animal

Hi there,

I just had a problem with hunting animals, i saw a cow chopped it down with my hatchet and wanted to gut it so i can get food and raise my blood level.

The problem was the only option left was hide body? I have a hunting knife in my toolbelt so where could be the problem?

Anyone else had that case?

Sometimes you just have to find the right spot on the body, and be sure to use the scroll wheel on the mouse. It will bring up all of the options for the animal.

I've had this problem a lot. I think it has to do with server lag. I've found the best way to get it working is to walk about 20-30meters away from the corpse and then return. I usually have that problem after I've gutted the animal and it won't show the 'Gear' or 'Take raw meat' options, but I've had it happen on the 'Gut animal' one too a couple times.

Wait until you're starving and find an animal and think "Oh thank god, finally!", shoot it, gut it and boom, gone.

Yes , Just look for that "spot" sometimes the animal glitches and you have to find another <_<

lol, story of my life. Often they even dissapear before I can kill them.
