new server start up questions, please help

hi i am a new player of dayz and wish to host my own server on my systems but just a few questions if anyone can help.

to behonest there arnt really any clear step by step instructions on setting up a new server like,

do i get sent the software for accessing the server control panel?

do i have to completely dedicated my copy of dayz to the server or can i still play using that server?

what steps are taken after receaving my instance id, i.e. do i have to install anything?, where would i enter my instance id? etc

Personally, I would recommend using a hosted server at least until you feel comfortable enough to run your own if thats what you're dead set on doing.
