Goz (DayZ) 3 Posted November 5, 2012 I own a HP Envy h8-1414, and according to canirunit, my graphics card is not up to par for the standalone. I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to figuring out specs for the best possible graphics card I can get. I don't want to damage my computer or anything so if anyone has any advice, I would be extremely thankful!Sorry if in wrong forum, didn't know where else to ask.... lvg 1690 Posted November 5, 2012 The specs for standalone aren't released yet?
Goz (DayZ) 3 Posted November 5, 2012 I was under the impression that the specs were the same or close to the requirements for ArmA III. Like I said, I'm an idiot. Thanks anyways!

Thanks anyways! One would assume that, but I'm expecting the standalone to be less intensive as DayZ currently. The reasoning is because ArmA 2 is a very badly optimized game. DayZ in it's current form is better than it was, but still pretty bad. The standalone will be a lot better optimized than it is now though.I know that Dean wants to keep updating the graphics as we go along though, to get it closer to ArmA 3, so you might need a new computer some time down the linetl;dr: If you can run DayZ now, you'll run the standalone better when it comes out.
