Can my laptop handle DayZ?

Win-7 Home Premium 64 bit

Model- HP Pavilion dv7 NoteBook PC

-Processor: AMD Phenom™ II N640 Dual-Core 2.90 GHz

RAM: 6.00 (5.74 useable)

With about 512 MB of VRAM dedicated to games. :S

Minimum and recommended specs released by BI are as follows.

Minimum specs:

• Dual Core CPU (Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz, Intel Core 2.0 GHz, AMD Athlon 3200+ or faster)

• 1 GB RAM

• GPU (Nvidia Geforce 7800 / ATI Radeon 1800 or faster) with Shader Model 3 and 256 MB VRAM

• Windows XP

• DVD (Dual Layer compatible)

• 10 GB free HDD space

Recommended specs:

• Quad Core CPU or Dual Core CPU (Intel Core 2.8 GHz, AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ or faster)

• 2 GB RAM

• GPU (Nvidia Geforce 8800GT / ATI Radeon 4850 or faster) with Shader Model 3 and 512 MB VRAM

• Windows XP or Windows Vista

• DVD (Dual Layer compatible)

• 10 GB free HDD space

That site is quite bad, I can't really run DayZ and I have better specs, other people have complained about other games with the same problem.

The actual question, I'm pretty sure you can, but the 512MB dedicated to games worries me, it is dedicated, not integrated, right?

If it's dedicated and it's any good, it should be fine.

Yes it's dedicated memory my video card is a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470. 3197MB Total available graphics memory, 512 MB of dedicated video memory. Edited by MrFrosty

Just because I have a laptop doesn't mean I can't run DayZ.. FYI. This is a $1,000 laptop. I'm sure, with the specs somebody with a INTELLIGENT answer can tell me if I can run the damn game or not.

Please SEARCH the Forums before starting a Topic.

You should just about be able to run the game.
