Over the past month or so I have seen and answered many questions regarding how much download that DayZ uses up.

The following text will help to justify how much it uses, why it uses that much, how to lower the amount used and how to monitor your download.

How much download does DayZ take up? I cannot give an extremely accurate amount to suit you but I can tell you mine.

Approximately a month ago, I tested out how much download 12 hours of only DayZ used. [This was with breaks, and I placed a weight on my W key, afked some...etc.] It barely passed 1 gig. So obviously it doesn't use much, especially hourly.

Why does it use that much? It all depends upon how you are playing DayZ. I have discovered that the higher you have your settings [visual] put to, the more download it will use. Adjust the setting to suit yourself.

How do I lower the amount used? Well, you could merely lower your settings. Or, as I prefer...use the program Game Booster. It will let you run your game better and make it less demanding on the download. It will also act as a compensation for the visual settings.

How do I monitor the download used by my computer? It's very simple. Download a program called 'NetWorx' [http://download.cnet...-10155904.html] and once it is installed open up 'speed monitor' and click the green arrow/play button.

I will conduct a download test using only DayZ in the following days, and will update this. I hope it helped in some way.
