Tents stay put unless you are killed and it's past 2 - 3 days. Players may loot the tents.

Tents are bound to the server you put them down at.

I don't think you can repack your tent after you die. At least it doesn't work for us. Once I and my friends have died, the tents we have placed act as if they were placed by someone else. We can access them but no longer pack them.

Does it affect tents across all servers when you die, or is it specific to the server you die on?

On a note there should really be a capacity indicator for tents as well

I'm not sure, but probably all servers.

I agree. More than once I've noticed the tent overflowing because I don't want to go through and count every item all the time.
