Crimly 8 Posted November 1, 2012 Ok, so I've been playing Chernarus for about a month now, but I am getting curious about all of the other maps. Can I just sign on to a server and play or do I need to download extra content. Also I understand the stand alone is just down the road, will these maps be used on it or will it be set up completly differently?
Parasprite 35 Posted November 1, 2012 You need to download the maps, but with DayZCommander it's just a matter of clicking a button under the "downloads" section.

Parasprite 35 Posted November 1, 2012 (edited) Thanks sir for the quick reply. I honestly haven't thought about the other maps till just now. In your experiance are they worth getting into?Namalsk, no doubt about it. It's, in my opinion, at least as good as Chernarus, fully making use of the temperature mechanic and making hunger a serious factor. The rest are a bit "eh" but still fun.The thing they all have in common is military loot is much more common, though to varying degrees. On Fallujah, you'll find armed helicopters and humvees all over the place, whereas on Lingor and Namalsk there's a few major concentrations of high grade loot and then the rest of the locations are low grade military. So I would like to see how those machanics change the game play. I've heard that clothing is a factor as well. Looks like I know where I'm going tomorrow. Moar 7 Posted November 1, 2012 Nalmalsk is brilliant, with work it could be better than Chernarus, it's a very powerful map. I wonder if in the standalone the Dev's would ever consider working with the man who made Nalmalsk a dayz map to overhaul it like Chernarus + and release it to the people. Solitude 42 Posted November 1, 2012 I'm very fond of Fallujah. It's fantastic, and a variety of vehicles add to the fun factor. I guess it's all a matter of personal choice, but that's most definitely my favorite. :)
