Followed Mod Install guide still not working

Recommended Posts

So i followed the install game 4 times, Im using steam btw with and following the steam guide. I downloaded all of the files. Went into my steam folder, into the game folder made the @DayZ folder, inside made the Addons folder. put all of the rar files into the folder then extracted.

Went into steam, selected properties. run with -mod=...... clicked start combined ops like i was supposed to. The game loads fine, but the mod doesnt show up listed in the upper right like its supposed to. If i click expansions it shows @dayz nosplash.

If i try to join a server it says required downloadable content deleted.

Can anyone help me please? this is becoming very frustrating.

thanks

I get 'You cannot play/edit this mission, it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.dayz_code, dayz_weapons, dayz_equip etc.'upon joining any DayZ server.

- You installed the mod or the shortcut incorrectly. Make sure you add "-mod=@dayz" without quotes in the launch options and DayZ mod files are installed in the proper folder. By default: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addons"

This is what is happening to me, but ive followed the install word for word 4 times, only difference is my steam isnt located in program files. could that be the problem? i dont see why it would be but im out of ideas.

May not work but put a space between dayz and -nosplash it could be trying to run "@dayz-nosplash" if you catch my drift
