No starting weapon: Murder Score spree?

There seems to be some sentiment that killing a person not for their loot is wrong in Dayz; that you are griefing or trolling. But there's a Murder Score tracker up there on the right. Clearly, counting your Murders is part of the game. It doesn't say Murders of armed people or self-defense. It seems clear to me that if you choose to play in killing spree mode, Dayz rewards you with a score tracker.

Placing unarmed essentially angry pedestrians along the beaches, will really throw this number off. It would be like adding an area of zombies that don't attack.

Or would boredom or fear of other murderers keep this in check?
