Other maps and the hive?

I've only played on the public servers using the Chernarus map.

How does it work if I want to try Lingor or Namalsk? Do they use the common hive or their own?

If I log into a server using a Lingor map is my gear specific to that map? And when I return to the Chernarus map will I retain the gear I had previously?

Your gear is specific to a hive so yes playing other maps means you start a new character but your chernarus map player stays there with the same gear in the same spot. your gear is hive specific so depending on the server group...

Excellent. The other maps look really interesting. I plan on tackling these new maps without the use of third party maps and explore them from scratch.

The only "Hive" That is on the custom maps is the Vilayer/ Dayz planet servers. If they do not have vilayer or dayz in their name. Dont bother. Its a private hive that you cannot transfer you're gear on
