Over the next few days, I was thinking of putting together an unofficial suite of music inspired by my times in DayZ.

What do you guys think? good idea? bad idea?

The first track is linked above, I was running for rescue towards the sea and was hit by a shotgun round going in. I lay bleeding by the shore looking into the sky as I was eaten alive.

You need music that has an under lying menace to it, that tbh was slightly too nice for this type of game (well sort of haha!)

it sounds like realism. It sounds like the cold world, the universe where there is no god nor a paradise or such bullcrap. there is only reality - the nature of it all - with its beautiful and also the ugly face. and all we know is a tiny little bit. we are cosmic worms.

And with its perfect symphony of disharmonics this tune is absolutely COLD!

you dont feel good when listening to it, its not artifical soft like drugs - its stone cold hard -> you cant sleep and lay back and chill.

I found this stumbling around Youtube. Apparently there's an entire genre known as martial industrial that I wasn't aware of. This track sounds like Day Z to me.
