So I created a blisshive.log parser..

But Vilayer removed access to the blisshive.log file for all servers for undisclosed reasons, so my hobby programming project is kind of worthless now to me. However, it may be of use to some other admins, so I'm asking if anyone would be interested in the program.

The catch is however, it could be used for cheating/unfair advantages. Hence why I'm asking if I should post a link to such program here, before it gets me banned and whatnot.

Features:

Opening local blisshive.log or over FTP

Auto-downloading of the log every x minutes/hours (once I get get around to programming it)

Survivors

Track online/offline survivors

Get logs associated with survivor (raw / formatted (table))

View Inventory for survivor (and previous inventories)

Activity log (At <time> survivor picked up/droppped <item>)

Location tracker and log (still in development, but it's getting there)

Objects

Object tracking

Get logs associated with object (raw / formatted (table))

View Inventory for object (and previous inventories)

Activity log (At <time> object picked up/droppped <item>)

Object type guessing (this object is a Ural or UAZ, etc)

Some other features that have been programmed for a bit but aren't finished are;

White/blacklisting of items

Warning panel (Warning! Player xx is carrying an AS50 TWS. (That's the idea))

Now, I mainly created it to make it easier for me tracking hackers, but as time progressed I added more features, just to see if I could (and I had to do something while my game-laptop was out for repairs for 3 weeks). I'd like to continue working on the program, but if no-one is interested I'm afraid I'll have to shut it down since I can't use it myself anymore.

I am one of the people who think that some admins have powers they could abuse BUT I would love to have access to such a piece of software because I hate hackers and feel I need more power to beat them and destroy their fun, so I'm all for this tool.

That's exactly the reason I started working on the program in the first place, so I can relate to that. Glad to hear I can contribute to combating hackers for at least someone! I'll await some more replies before I start posting links here, cheers!

I think this could be a nice tool for admins. I'd also be interested in this for our private hive to fight hackers more efficently.

This would be a great help to us with our server too. I can see it being abused but I do think most admits would be sensible enough to not use it for that reason..

It even gives you a maps of where everyone is.

Ah I see, that's pretty nice, but the requirements for setting it up is pretty steep, I don't think a lot of people can get that running easily. But as seeing that such a program already exists, I don't think it can hurt to put some links so people can check out what I wrote for themselves.

I've already got a map, but I basically ripped it off dayzdb.com since I couldn't be arsed writing one myself, and liked that one a lot :P. I've disabled the location part for now, it isn't working yet unless you have access to my server, so you won't notice it yet anyways.

For those who don't care about sources, here's an uploaded .rar file with the .exe. Feel free to scan it first, I'd recommend it for your own safety anyways. Note that the button with "Open browser" in the Location area doesn't do anything yet, other than upload data to my server.

Be sure to fill in the FTP data first, if you're going to download it over FTP. The timer doesn't work (yet..) as well.
