It is indeed too easy and I think Rocket knows this, there will have to be changes to loot tables and substantial changes at that.

Even if you just do the Cherno run over and over, eventually you will have a successful run where you you come out with a good couple of guns and a big back pack and a ton of supplies.

You can essentially be set up to survive in the woods/interior indefinitely with a 10 minute run into Cherno...... sure you may die 10 times in a row trying, but maybe on that 11th try you'll make it, and then it's boring.

Overall I'd agree with the OP.

Food should be more scarce, and hunger over time should have a cumulative effect. Ammo should be more scarce too, especially when it becomes possible to escape/hide from zombies.

Server hopping I think is something that will get remedied eventually because people will be stuck on a specific cluster of servers, and there will be cooldowns and stuff.

I like the item restriction, in terms of being a glimpse into the end of society

I loathe that the game would become so dependant on spawn chances that I would feel powerless. Your vision might be more 'real' but at least now, when I have a DMR, MP5SD6, PDW and all gear (yup NVGs and rangers too) for the second time, I know I earnt it.

In OP's vision player skill disappears and the experience degenerates into 'I was lucky enough to find beans in a town that noone else was desperately searching for beans in' or 'I was unable to scout the town because I was so hungry so I had to run in and hope any scavengers were friendly. I only had one mak clip and a bandage but they killed me for my flesh'.

Im going to throw down my gun on next respawn. Lets see how far I make it. Also the whole throwing cans thing...I haven't been able to get that to work as of yet. I throw it into a field with zambies and they just keep strutting around. Any tips?

Azure - it doesn't seem to work in fields only on roads... didn't test in buildings. Oh and good luck.

I don't want to hear any more complaining about survivors being bored and bandits having enough ammo to causally hunt people. I want the delicious tears of people starving to death' date=' bleeding out because zombies scratched them and they don't have any more bandages, hearing someone having a gun go off and people going "what was that?" because they haven't heard it in so long. People shooting each other in the street because there just wasn't enough food to go around. Zombies eating humans that passed out on the way to the store. I want to hear people begging for the crossbow.

So, to the actual suggestions

- reduce the spawn points

- reduce the amount of gear spawned

- increase the time on the respawn counters

- lower the percentages on the drop tables for good items dramatically

- increase the percentages of trash

- make animals run if (knowsAbout == true)

- decrease starting gear (you may already be doing this)

- (optional) increase thirst rate (if possible based on running)

- (optional) soda adds life (like 10), temporary adds relieves thirst but then increases thirst rate until water is consumed.

- Forgot something: 2 shots of morphine == dead

Advantages:

- increases play time (you have to search more to survive)

- force players to use fountains, which are in towns, more

- removes the Death match argument (are you going to shoot that guy or save the bullet for when you need it?)

- makes crossbow more useful

- hunting animals is more entertaining

- delicious tears?

Disadvantages

- Temporary flux of people complaining in the forum (like that is any different)

- no, that's about it...

Some interesting ideas.

When you mention 2 shots of morphine kills you, i couldn't help think and picture players trying to stick each other with Morphine shots as a silent kill tactic. Or the accidental- two of your buddies both try to stick you with morphine not knowing the other was doing the same, "Oh i thought you were doing bandages- you gave him morphine too, ...Is it wrong if we loot his body?"

With the spawning loot maybe the loot drop increases or is the ratio now if you have more then one or two people with in the area. One person entering town = less loot drops.

Sandy - just saw that post. You know I don't think it would totally become as simple as that, but to be honest, to have the feeling of being lucky hasn't really occurred to me in a game in a while, and maybe this one needs that.

logan - ha, didn't even think of that - it really was a flash thought, but that is hilarious... hey, we killed our friend... oooopps. The silent kill tactic would be slick as well, if someone can pull it off.

Interesting idea with the sleeping and the respawn but different server.

With the sleeping the player should have leaves or some type of camouflage, or maybe able to sleep under a bed in town. Something where you can hide while you sleep but still another player could still come across you and notice you if they are close enough (sleeping outside) or inspect items like the bed for in towns. This can also open the idea of finding items of ways of hiding your body better or less chance to be seen but if your on the ground and even with some form of Camo, that player falls over or right next to you -they can see or notice a hidden sleeping body.

I would say this would be if done- sometime after booby traps so you could find ways to protect locations where a player wishes to sleep.

With the respawn to different server is something I actually like even though I know there will be team/clans who will not enjoy this feature.

For this to work you would need to have a set timer till the player can repawn in that server they just died so if they wish to wait 30 minutes or what ever number and go to where their friends are there is a waiting period.

Also this would be need to be placed in a launcher where you say I want to play in Day Servers/ Ping no more then XYZ/ REg-Vet=Expert. This will allow a player to die and respawn to a different server that still matches the basics of their selected game play style.

If this was not included you would get players who would just kill them self/respawn to another server till they got one that was a Day or with 3rd person = more Lag for all and stress on servers due to the heavy jumping.

This would be something if ever built in in some form - would happen in the final version and not seen in alpha.
