Strange message appears when i log in.

I'm new to dayz. Whenever i log into a server when the word loading is displayed on screen before i am actually on. Messages appear on screen the message is usually preceded by a number like the 5: or maybie 14:. After the number there is a message like 6 is dead or 264 fall back, as well as a much larger number of military type language. Am i doing something wrong. Please explain!

lol, don't worry about that, it is just "radio chatter" left over from ARMA 2, i believe. you didn't do anything wrong, everyone gets it when they log in.

If you ever play Arma2 you will hear the same shit. Its actually commands by soldiers. For some reason while loading in DayZ it goes ape shit. In my experience...if LOADING takes more that 10 mins...it's time to Ctrl+Alt+Del Arma...and join a new server. Sometimes the LOADING screen takes forever, but don't let the voices deter you. If anything..it's actually a good sign. When you hear nothing for a few minutes while on the loading screen that's almost kinda how you know the game/server has become unresponsive.
