Torrent Help, Thank You.

I finally finished a long Torrent download of ArmA II: CO and DayZ. I followed all the readme's and whatnot and is currently unable to work.

I get these two error messages:

Bad CD Key - Invalid CD Key

Bad version, server rejected connection

If anyone knows how to help with these two issues, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time follow survivors.

Let me try and understand - you downloaded Combined Operations via Torrent? In other words you pirated it.

There's your answer - you need to actually buy the game to play it. Only DayZ is free (since it is a mod, and the torrent is only a way to facilitate faster downloads with less bandwidth costs to the host)

make sure the folder "@DayZ/Addons" & "/Addons" is copied in every instances of the game,

DayZ is a free mod for ArmA 2 - Combined Operations military simulation game. When you buy ArmA 2 - Combined Operations, you will have an unique CD Key that allows you to play online.

Well, just because he downloaded a pirat version doesn't mean he necessarily stole it.

Lets say he bought it from the Boheima Store, that downloader(sprocket) or something gave me around 1600kbs.

So if i had downloaded the torrented version, it might be faster. Then just register with the bought cd-key.

I will buy the game, if i enjoy it. I cant play DayZ on the demo I did download so I have a problem. I want to see if I like it first. I don;t like pirating either. I actually bought TES V: Skyrim twice.

Well you're out of luck - there is no demo for DayZ - it's in development. The closest thing you're going to get is playing one of the Arma 2 games in singleplayer and see if you like the gameplay.

Or find a friend who has DayZ.

TLDR: NO DEMO.

Oh dear, oh dear these errors are quite common with some folks. I think I can help you. Fortunately there is a way to solve this.

Download Steam from http://store.steampowered.com/, then click on the tab named "Top Sellers".

Click on the first game listed (as of writing), named "ARMA II: Combined Operations".

Next click on "Add to cart", current pricing at 24.99 €, cheaper than most EA games in bargain bins.

On the following page, click on "PURCHASE for myself" and in the following screen click on "Continue".

Confirm the purchase and let Steam install the game.

The next time you start up the game you will find that your "bad CD key" error has been resolved.

New to Pc gaming, and your torrenting games? Is it because of people like you that pc games suffer losses so much? Idk but arma has a degrading system that makes torrenting version suck so bad u can't play, just download arma 2 free and try it.

Just keep changing cd keys until you get it to work. That will usually fix it. Should keep you from having to buy a 3 year old game.
