CD key thefts, possible from other file formats?

Probably a daft question, but can CD thefts result in "running" PBO files?

Obviously, any executeable can be dangerous, but can anything be hidden within an PBO file?

A pbo is only a collated amalgum of files and file structures could, when packed, a pbo hold a dangeous script?

Yes and no, it depends on where you download it from. Inside the actual PBO, no your key cant get stolen. However if you download it from an unsafe source, there could be a virus attached or what ever hidden within the dl.

That's why i use my mac for teh pr0n.

Well, now I'm a little less busy I've re read the main reply and from what I gather any real infection/issue from a PBO is small. (whilst not impossible.
