I vote that we start a group of people that go around and help new DayZ players.

I was looting the NW airfield when a truck with 3 people got out. I said "Hey guys, can I hitch a ride out of here?".

Dead. They unloaded on me. 2 days of playing gone to waste, so now i'm gonna do something about it.

DayZ players who enjoy grouping and playing as a team, lets band together and start a new military for Chernarus. Lets move around helping the new players of DayZ at specific checkpoints through out the map. If anyone needs help, they can come to our checkpoints and get food, water, and heat. If someone feels un-easy about going somewhere, we can supply them with a body guard to go through the trees and watch them.

Okay maybe that's a lot, but you guys get my drift right? Right?

Had a little kid call me a bitch once after he killed me, twas kinda funny actually.

But trust me, after awhile you'll get used to dying a lot :3, and how the populace of DayZ react to other people outside there group.

Tho, I can't say this for all groups, I've met people who I have partied up with, you just need to find the right people and get lucky

Also, NWAF is a pretty big PVP spot anyway.

I would really love to be an asset to Chernarus...however it's a real pain in the ass. I am going bandit in this mod(on pub servers), and putting my faith in Rocket to make the standalone have the certain appeal to not being a human killing douche bag.

I hate the banditry abundance in this game. If you have DMRs, AKs, M4s and satchels....and I have a fuckin' hatchet...there really is no reason to kill me. For that ONE pack of Painkillers? Screw you man.

DayZ makes me mad when I play like I think people/"society" would actually act in a crisis like this. Sure if it was like week 10 and the shit was hitting the fan, I could see this kind of disregard for human life...but when its 50 people inhabiting 225sqKM...I find it hard to believe we couldnt offer something to everyone...other than our lives.

I like the idea. It's pretty known that nwaf is a no friendly zone. I think of it like that anyway.

I'm generally friendly to the point that I have gotten killed a few times, but I still keep it that way. At NWAF though, I keep a very low profile. If I see a group I avoid. If I see a loner I break out the DMR.

And I have been playing DayZ since about July. So I know what Its like to die a lot. Its just... for some reason this one time got me more upset than usual. Probably because I never went to Cherno or Elektro this time, and I still died the same exact way.

And yes, NW Airfield is a bad zone to be in. But when ever I find someone who isnt as loaded as I am, I tell them to holster there weapons. Then I go out to talk to them at a safer distance, and once I find out where they are going and what they looted, I just say ok and leave. I even give people food and water sometimes if they need it. I wish everyone was as nice as me.

Implying you wouldn't try to kill a bandit with a DMR if you had the drop on him, like it or not your a credible threat and I would not hesitate to put you down.

Dumb idea. Do it with close friends, if you invite strangers one of them could be a bandit just waiting to infiltrate you guys. It's what I would do.

There are lots of groups already, join up and make the place a safer place. I must admit, you jumping out at the NWAF is strange behaviour even for considerate players. I would expect the same treatment.

I see a group of players and I know they are in TS (or similar) they have an advantage and are more prone to mischief. I would not approach not even as a medic as I play. Stay away from groups unless your part of one. Mob mentality is dangerous.
