Reserving slots

A couple of buddies and me think about hosting a server. We greatly enjoy DayZ (and have been doing so for weeks) and get a bit tired of the daily hunt for a server with the "right" settings and ping. Of course, paying for a server doesn't make much sense when I can't actually play on it, and kicking players for admins is, according to the FAQ, a no go.

So, would it be OK to "reserve" say 5-6 slots on a 40-slot server for the guys paying the bills? Is that possible with the ArmA MP architecture?

Hi, this is answered in the Server Hosting FAQ.

No, it's not allowed to reserve slots at the moment, as ARMA2 does not provide this functionality. It MIGHT be allowed in the future if such functionality is added to ARMA2, but no promises.
