Why does Day Z take forever to load?

Once you get paste the lobby it takes up to 10 mins to spawn in any given server.

Actually to be fair it does at times take over 5 mins at times on busy servers, especially some of the dodgy private hives.

I have gtx 670 i7 2600 16gb 1600mhz ram and SSD disc, with a 24mbit/s line (max 2mbit up)

And it takes around 4 minutes for me to load most of the time :(

Well, what happens is, when you signal to join a server gets through to the server, the Elfs and Fairies don't understand each other and this causes them to look at each other strangely. Once this has been detected by the Reindeer they then have to write a 1 sided report to a Indian call center, where Brian will phone back the Elf's and Fairies, Who then push buttons into a computer who says no.

Only takes a few minutes for me most days, Lower pinged ones are quicker (Private hive ones)

official hive servers always have long loading times.. try a private hive.. loaing times < 20 sec
