Getting Bored

Anyone else finding this mod boring?.

Seems pretty repetitive now, would really like a new map to explore.

I got bored once, then I went to stary sobor and killed 6 guys.

Palms were sweaty

I haven't killed any players yet(pooping rainbows and humping trees)

Wandering around the main airfield when zeds are spawning on top of you gets the heart pumping and being chased around by other players simply because ive become a bandit... that's good fun.

Anything will get boring if you do it enough. Tell you what, when you've got ten minutes why don't you port all the coding to takistan for us and then release the mod for free - Don't worry about feedback, I'll tell you when it starts to get boring.

Takistan would be nice or maybe one of the custom maps like Duala or Lingor.

Or for some concentrated action: proving grounds. :)

If your getting bored, start workings out, do science!

Work out how loot spawns work properly.

Build a fort out of materials.

Sit in Electro, kill everybody, be the richest person.

If you're bored get yourself killed and go participate in bean wars on the coast.

Makarov duels are great fun and you might even bag yourself some good loot.

Better yet, find a tent, stash your stuff then go and have fun.

I'm just waiting til I find a tent then i'm going on a night special forces mission carrying nothing by my M9SD and a few clips.

That would be quite awesome. And as far as I could see it fixing the spawn positions of items and zombies to the other island would only involve getting their positions on the maps and adjusting the coordinates of the stacks.

Yet I haven't found out how the vehicles spawn. Maybe its even made manually into the database at the creation of a server database because they are persistent.

The only real challenge would be the transition from one island to another with a character. I guess you would have to rely on default spawns like the respawns if you are dead and a flag in the database to show which island he was on to trigger it.

I think vehicles spawn using the BIS function "BIS_fnc_findSafePos". This will ensure they don't spawn in/on buildings or whatever.

_position = ([(getPosATL _object),0,100,10,0,500,0] call BIS_fnc_findSafePos);

apparently this function has a tendency to spawn things in the middle of the Island if it fails to find a safe position (or something to that effect, there's a post of BI forums about it). So maybe find the center of Chernarus and they'll be a vehicle graveyard lol!

p.s I am not an amazing sqf scripter so the above may not even be correct but it looks like it's the code to spawn in vehicles.
