What type of playstyle do you prefer?

Recommended Posts

I'm no hero, I'm no mass murderer. I just do what feels the most fun morally correct.

If you have what I want I'll give you a friendly kneecap and try and get you unconcious, a quick loot, a bandage, and if all goes well I'll be gone before you wake up.

Or if you are really unaware I`ll hold you up for lols your sake.

If you don't, I'll either leave you alone and hide or attempt to help.

If you have no weapons, I have been known to creep up behind you and scream over direct chat.

Least deaths as possible.

50/50.

Depends on who I am with.

Most times, I rock with a M14 AIM & cover my buddies, and support them from a hill,

if I have some sort of Assault Rifle, I'll be a simple Rifleman,

I will be friendly if I feel I'm not endangered by them. Bandits are KoS for me though. Like being friendly but it's not always an option.

3 of us play together and we all play a survivor/zombie killing role. We avoid contact generally but will make runs into the larger towns and military spots if needs be.

In terms of PvP we vary. I take each situation on it's own merit. I won't kill for the sake of it but if there's a chance that they might attack then I'll kill them. The 2nd guy is pretty much a pacifist. He has yet to fire on another player. The 3rd is very much a bandit. He doesn't kill for fun but he does kill most on the off chance they have some items of gear that he might want.

We sort of even each other out. I'm nominally the leader (I don't start barking orders but the decisions as to where we're going and what to do about other players are usually made by me) so can usually reign in the more aggressive PvP'er.

Squad gameplay, so generally we tend not to engage lone players, but actual structured squads. It's a lot more fun this way, but every now and again we'll come up against a lone bandit or survivor that may have something that we need. We aren't kill on sight, but we are bandits.

I also play on an RP server, in which I also play as a bandit with my squad. This acts a little differently, as DayZ RP (The original one) has rules against KoS, so we prefer to hold people and vehicles up between cherno and elektro. Of course it may seem douchey, but we don't kill them if they comply to our rules. Sometimes they try to rebel against us and not follow the given instructions, and in that senario I put an M107 round into their face. (I'm squad overwatch with my friend, while the other 5 are on the ground with various equipment suited for both vehicles and infantry) We actually get killed regularly, but before taking the bandit approach we made sure that we could recover from dying so of course we have a little camp somewhere on the map :)

Overall, DayZRP is probably the best experience that I have had in both Arma and DayZ, and I would highly recommend it. My IGN is BushWookie, and my clan tag is APF, so please do tell me if you actually listened to me now and joined the RP server and I'll try to make sure we don't put some lead in your head :)

I am not a fighter, unlike my name states, but more of a spotter. I cannot fight for shit crap. I scan for danger, and let my comrades take them out. What type of playstyle do you use?

I shoot spotters

If people don't act threatening, I'll leave them alone. Problem is everyone with a weapon is threatening. Any anyone without a weapon starts acting like a threat as soon as they find one.

Plus on any populated server, it feels like Cherno and Electro are surrounded by sniper camps. Within 15 minutes of respawning, I had myself a ghillie suit and some sort of sniperized assult riffle with thermal sights and a bunch of satchel charges.

I'd really like to get an SUV working though.

And on a populated server, where would you go and how far do you think you'd get if you're getting sniped every 15 minutes? Just some food for thought......
