Hello moto

A story about paying back the DayZ GodZ.

Recommended Posts

I had spent about two weeks alive collecting everything that I needed. I had an MP5SD6 with four clips and everything but a rangefinder. My friend and I had on our previous session made it to the main airfield before we logged off. When we logged back on, we pressed through the small strip of trees to better see the surrounding area.

My friend told me he saw at least two people and with a little trouble understanding where he meant when he said middle, he was killed as he hid behind a large rock. I just spotted one and had my L8 aimed at him. I fired three shots into his chest with no effect. Alas, the sniper was set to 300 meters Zeroing and the shots went flying over his head. Both enemies would have seen where I was in the very dim light and they opened up. I escaped behind one of the taller walls surrounding the airfield with bullets flying everywhere I wasn't. Trying to calm down enough to look for them I looked over the wall to where I hoped they were. Suddenly a shot rang out and hit my leg breaking it. I heard more shots and with my body full of adrenaline my right hand jumped to the escape key while my right hand jumped to the abort option. I had done it in time so that I wasn't dead but I was in a bad way.

That was a very cowardly thing to do, I said to myself. I debated with what to do, then decided to go back to the server and give myself up to the assailants. When the server loaded I had to wait for five minutes for the shock-logout-penalty to pass. I was expecting a shot to the head at any moment. None came and when I woke I realized that I had been fully healed. I got up and headed for the middle of the airfield. No shots sounded so I looked around with my thermal and there was no-one. They clearly had moved out. I searched my friends body and they had taken all The good stuff. My friend had spawned and within an hour had a sniper and some other stuff.

From this moment on i realized i owed the godz for logging out mid-battle. We headed to Cherno to start some PvP sniping. We found no-one so he headed to the highest building while I headed to the firehouse. A single moment of lost concentration and fours shots to my back and In no time, I'm looking at the "you are dead" screen.

My friend spotted him but wasn't able to take a shot. I spawned at Cherno. Thinking that loosing my 900+ zombie kills was payment enough, I headed to the building my friend was on. He saw the guy, and took a shot. It hit him and he went down. We lost sight of him, but after a minute I saw his name tag. He was unconscious. He lined up a shot, and died but had ALT F4'd. I went down and checked the bodies. He had hidden my old dead body, and when he combat logged, his body had disappeared.

My payment to the godz was now complete. At least I hope so...

The magic of team work can be as much of a death trap as it is a tactical advantage.

All I will say is, you had one hell of a fight.

The god(z) of DayZ must have required the sacrifice in order to keep all other maps from aligning, thus presenting doomsday to humanity and zeds.
