pcgnBobo 20 Posted October 16, 2012 The allowance and support of hosting private servers has both been a blessing and a curse.Legit players and admins alike now have the bliss DayZ provides at its core (no pun intended). However, there's also the influx of private servers with douchy admins, or they've changed the content drastically elminating the DayZ experience, or side chat has turned the game into Melrose Place for kiddies who need to spend more time with their mommies. This IS the time to shine with DayZ, and is a pivotal moment leading into the release of the standalone. With the release of our US 1872 private chernarus server over at PCGN, we've kept close tabs on these facets and observed the ongoing trends. We've managed to deny access to hackers, induce disinterest in douchy and whining wannabe players, and maintain a safe haven for legit members of the DayZ community at large. We are proud of this, and the support we've gotten for pursuing this venture speaks to its success. This is a call to arms for the ENTIRE DayZ community to band together and show continuous support for this groundbreaking game for the transition into the standalone's release. It can go 1 of 3 ways.1. Hackers running rampant still, locked down restrictions or even worse ranked servers, children populating the servers, utterly destroying the next phase of what this game set out to be and provide to PC gamers2. Douchy admins and self-entitled melodramatic nay-sayers inducing a shroud of unwanted haziness creating an experience not indicative of the DayZ experience3. DayZ purity! Respectable servers, with an atmosphere of tactical survival gameplay with intense moments of suspence and heart racing firefights, wars between survivor groups, bandits trolling the road between elektro and cherno, merchants providing survival supplies at a cost for those focused on other tasks, and day by day, minute by minute pure and utter euphoric post-apocalyptic mayhem.PCGN does 3, we want 3 for the transition, and for 3 to remain the experience of DayZ.No rules, respect, suspense. A DayZ server's only requirements. Are you with us? PM me for details about joining a pure and legit "hive" of multiple private servers abiding by this vision of the DayZ experience. avid_gamer 132 Posted October 19, 2012 Hi bobo. You have a great vision. You and others like you should get together with the guys over at DayZPlanet..There are Map makers... DayZ coders.... Website Developers...Anti-hack programers all working together to bring this #3 experience to ALL who play... not just a select few who can only join a couple servers in a small private hive.If the people who have something to offer this community.. be it ((( coding / administration tools / maps or other ideas ))) all worked together it will benefit the entire community... not just a few lucky ones. pcgnBobo 20 Posted October 19, 2012 I was reading a little bit about DayZPlanet today and what you say makes a lot of sense. I have spoken with Lee at Vilayer and I know he is doing something similar with bringing persistence to the private hive sector.Thank you for the referral. sfscriv 14 Posted October 22, 2012 Intense fire fights. A battle to the death. Some survive, while many respawn to start anew.
