How i killed my first bandit haker

So

I'm just in my second week of playing dayz. First days i was the common victim of zeds, after that hakers start to show around.

This morning I was scavanging on an empty server somewhere in the north (not Airfield). I notice somebody just logg in. Allright, nothing to worry about, just another player trying to survive. Then another one came along. In that moment i just started to think..."i got a bad feeling about this". It was night and raining. Did not have a Nv, using just max gama and brightness to look around. I was jumping from one tent to another in this military camp looking for a sd weapon for infiltrating towns full of zeds more easy.

Just found something interesting when i got this weird feeling that I'm watched. Turn around and saw a bandit looking strait to me in the entrance of that tent.

He fired first from he's M9sd, zeds were crawling around us. He probably was very carefully targeting my head, but i still got halve my blood left. I was quicker with the second shot.

After that my heart was pumping like 500hp engine. For a few seconds I was totaly shoked thinking :"this guy realy try to kill me....., from behind and everything" He was on me not 1 minute after he connected on the server.

I crawl to his body got his nv and sd weapon plus a toolkit and get the f.. out of there.

I know this sh... is hapening on a daily basis but still. First time is kind of special.

I got the name of the scumbag if anyone is interested to ban him from servers, couse is clearly cheating.

Now, my question is...the loot that i take it from him (nv, m9sd and toolkit) is duped, haked to? What are the consequences if u use such equipement? Couse i dont whant to get baned for this.

Although I think you're making too quick conclusions, it doesn't sound like a hacker to me. He was probably just jumping different servers for loot and picked one with few players (which is quite common) and my guess would be that you were at Stary Sobor (the military tents somewhere up north), which also is a very common place to go and look for loot.

So he was probably as chocked as you were when he saw you on this almost empty server! :P But it's a nice lesson! That you should always count on people logging when you least expect it at popular places like Stary, NW Airfield etc

EDIT: Also, usually hackers either spawn loot or vehicles or they teleport everyone on the server to some place where they kill them or they spawn weapons that aren't in the game. But in general you don't find hackers that are using the worst cheats on almost empty servers because since they can hack things they don't need to look for loot like normal players do.

You more likely were the "victim" of a server hopper, as Janen stated. They just jump servers at military hotspots (in your case Stary Sobor) and ransack the loot. The fact he tried to kill you with M9SD rather than his primary backs the notion he wasn't expecting you in front of him, and therefore was not prepared to one shot you. Consider yourself lucky for looting a (probably) legitmate player, since scripters don't bother hunting loot.
