When i join a server it takes between 5 to 8 minutes for the server to load which is really annoying.

am i the only one that is getting long loading times ?

That's pretty common, can take anywhere between 20 second to 20 minutes depending on the server, how popular it's been and how long since its last restart. After a restart I get in almost instantly and then it will get longer and longer until it's not even worth trying until the next restart.
