Step 2: Extract Rmod and copy the @rmod folder to your base Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead Folder. For steam users its under (the root directory for wherever you installed steam then) Steam\Steamapps\Common\ Step 3: In your Arma2 Operation Arrowhead folder if you scroll down you will see a "Launch Arma 2 OA Beta Patch" Right click that and drag it to your desktop and say create shortcut. Step 4: Launch Arma 2 OA using the Beta Patch launch exe. Step 5: While on the Main Screen. Click expansions and make sure that @dayz, @rmod, Arma2, Arma2 OA, British Armed Forces, Private Military Corp, Expansions, Beta are all selected and turned on. Step 6: Go to the In game multiplayer brower and look for our server. In the filter options put [ZH] in the name and usually leaving everything else alone works sometimes you have to make sure that Battleye is set to default. Step 7: Join Server and rock and roll.

    Consolidated Weapons/Equipment suggestions

    I was thinking about a vehicle throw over. It could be a camouflage mesh like material that helps conceal your vehicles. It could be only in one size so say it takes 1 to cover a motorbike/ATV, 2 for UAZ, Offroad, Tractor, etc, and 3 or 4 for Ural, V3S, and the Bus.

US 3349 Hosted by Quant IP 199.116.118.8:2322 (Your) Timezone: US CDT Date/Time:/ 10/6/2012 Server Administrator('s): ScurvyNutz- ~Quant~ What happened: I with 4-5 others raided a known base camp by the server admins and discovered several scripted in weapons as well as satchel charges and tons of vehicles located at 064 028 above Devils Mountain. During the raid the admin logged in and observed occasionally kicking people via rcon console. Once we left he reset the server to get back most of his stuff. When it came back up we killed him after he killed one of our guys. He then reset the server to prevent us from looting his body. We destroyed his base a total of 4 times with their own scripted in satchel charges and logged off. When we logged on today we discovered that we were banned.   6. Shutting down the server, not wasting my money hosting it anymore. 3 times today while I was playing had hackers take all the vehicles and teleport them to 1 spot. This shitty game has no protection for it and sadly you can't even see in the logs 99.9% of the time that they are even doing anything. Dayz has lost 2 players today thanks to ass hole hackers..... You guys are cool you searched "Dayz Hacks" in google and watch a youtube vid on how to install the scripts and download cheat engine......... I could do it but then why play the fucking game...............FUCK YOU ALL!!!!!! This game will soon be like warrock....A dead and has been game that no 1 plays. 50k players now and declining and eventually it will only be hackers fighting hackers.     vehicles and looting

    I generally don't bother taking vehicles to loot anyway, only to pick up friends or to set up an ambush or something. But thats because I only really loot military places now, and well if you take a car into the NWAF you're bound to get shot at.

    And here is me thinking vehicles are for convenience, Hope this is fixed soon because I just can't be bothered with vehicles while there like this.
  11. I've had a steadily increasing amount of vehicles destroyed on my server without any of them respawning for over a month (I've often checked the .RPT for the current vehicles). I had kind of given up hope already, but for some reason after the server was patched from 96585 to 97451 last week all the missing vehicles respawned. Additionally a large numbers of static objects like barbed wire and (presumably) unused tents despawned. I'm still not sure if it's the ARMA patch kickstarting something or if someone tickled the Hive to throw some long overdue maintenance at my instance ID. Any vehicles missing in the .RPT means they were never present or that they have been destroyed permanently (e.g. saved after being destroyed, otherwise they just respawn in their last location after a restart). Check the vehicle IDs and you will probably see gaps in the numbering scheme (apparently on my server there are 40 sequential IDs, but the UH1H came last). Additionally, I think I picked up somewhere that you should have a minimum number of players on your server before the chopper even spawns. I think it took us two weeks to spawn vehicles and then another week before we hit 15-20+ players and the chopper appeared.

    The Admins, Helga and Rootlife, LOVE this post! Holy crapping christ; this made our day! Wow, just wow. Anywhoo! To the explaining part; The ural you found was lost about a week ago to a hacker that got banned, at that time we just left the ural where they had left it, being that I couldn't be bothered with checking the logs for the actual location of it and left it to the players to find it. The Helicopter was crashed by me about 5 days ago, since then we haven't tried to repair it so left it for others to take. The players you ran into is most likely IAmJustBlind and BUL-07-LET, yes. They seem to be quite well coordinated in this game since they've kept out of our riflescopes since day 0(!). The vehicles that the admins actually own is as follows; 1 bike. Sad bike too I can tell you, doesn't see much action. Anywhooo; NL 41 is going down in about a weeks time; our new server is up and running withing 24hours of typing this and it's a Private Hive; also with almost instantenous loading, no desyncs and 30 vehicles on Cherno. It lets us keep better track of hackers and have a better security overall.     ^^^^ 1) How do you know the owner of the Ural was one of those guys you named, when several other players were on line? 2) How do you know the owner of the Ural and the flight crew were the same? Could be that the helicopter was out cruising looking for vehicles and came across you guys.

    Hello. First of all, I would like to compliment your server as it is one of the fastest ones I have seen so far. I do, however, have a small issue that I would like to be resolved. Whilst playing on your server today from 18:30 until 19:30 there was a reasonably odd happening. I was fortunate enough to find a ural in Cherno firestation, so I stole it. Apparently it was guarded (but not well enough) as I was shot at when I drove away. I had only recently respawned in Elektro after dying from a wall glitch in NW airfield. Now, this may have been "your" vehicle as the server owners, fair enough, but I cannot find any of the player names that I saw on the server in this thread. The players on the server during this time span were: EncounterQ - me Daniel - my friend who I was playing with IAmJustBlinD - a server regular it seems from the gametracker stats Iloveall sergh Snotaap Gerbert Spodler323 BUL-07-LET - the person with the highest playing time, so it could be the admin You can check this in your server logs. I drove the stolen ural to Zelenogorsk to pick up Daniel. The owner of the ural (either IAmJustBlinD or BUL-07-LET I presume) was probably understandably annoyed by having their vehicle stolen. What I cannot explain is how a helicopter turned up circling Zelenogorsk around half an hour after I had stolen the ural. This resulted in me and Daniel being killed by the gunner, so it seems two players were involved, unless you can shoot while auto-hovering. This was the first time I had seen a helicopter on the server, and a car for that matter. All I want to know is just how the owner of the ural was able to summon a helicopter to our precise location in the treeline by Zelenogorsk at night. My only explanation is that you, the owners, have hoarded many vehicles at a camp somewhere, and you were lucky enough to have one player already at that camp when the ural was reported stolen. My only other explanation is some sort of ESP hacking to find our location, then either spawning or calling in your helicopter to fly there. I understand that Zelenogorsk is a place that you would search if a car had gone West, but it seems too legit for the theft of a ural and our untimely demises not to be linked at all on a sparsely populated server. Thanks for any response to this, and if you were behind this, my only regret is being caused to bleed so that I could not force you to destroy the ural with its hoarded gear along with myself.

  17. - Just like some say, guns and vehicles what you would expect to see in Russia and not that Yankee stuff (Mosin Nagant, PPS/h, Saiga, Mi-8 etc.) - Batteries - Flare gun - Headlamp - Lighter - Radio Maybe less room in inventory/backpacks/tents so you can't have all the fancy stuff. And add stamina like in ACE mod so you can't run 10km fully geared.
  18. Hmm maybe some sort of horizontal mesh and the ability to remove vehicle parts like tires (not anything stupid like an engine unless it had a LONG animation). This way it would still mean you have to have some knowledge to hide vehicles so they wont be seen from the side, but it would be a lot harder to see from a heli preventing one clan from just flying over the map and getting all the vehicles. Although even if a guy on the ground did find your vehicle he would have to work hard to get parts for it. I feel this could help reduce hording of vehicle from independent player and even the playing field a little. Still I guess we will see what they do in the standalone and give more accurate feedback for that. And my server has restart so i will bid you good Day...Z

We just started our fresh server last, night lots of vehicles still left to get, and are looking for more players to come join us. some of the bonuses on our server are: 3rd party anti hack mods (they are server side so no extra downloads) Extra vehicle spawns, in different locations then the originals. so more reward for exploring the map and easier to get from place to place. Friendly admins who are on almost 24/7 We have several groups already playing with us, there will be some friendly competition (our groups are good about leaving noobs alone, we only want good fair fights) We will soon be having events: King of the tent (where we put some cool loot in a tent and broad cast the coordinates at a set time), Free car bonanza (we will park a working car in a major city and who ever finds it gets it), Organised group fights (we will pick a town and a time and any one who is willing can show up for a good old gun battle) *more to come* Side chat is active and so is VoN, (but please don't use VoN in side chat, admins reserve the right to kick for annoying everyone) Semi private hive, you character is saved on the Vilayer.com hive so you can travel to any of there Chenarus servers and use the same character. we currently have 3 groups and 8 regulars that play but we have a lot more room for you and your friends to come have some fun with us. Why not let some zombies use gun, as zombies they fire anywhere, and so sometime fire other zombies or himself. Some zombies try swim and die, other try and swim, other do not try. Just started a new private hive server and want it to be a mainly bandit populated server where big groups of bandits to provide for big, long fights between multiple bandit groups and have some really intense combat. The server is password protected however no application is requird you just need to say you're interested if you're in a team or not and what are yours and their ingame names. The reason for the password it to stop hackers, and stop random players coming on with their AS50 rangefinders and ghillie suite. No duping will be aloaod on the server so if I find a camp with a tent packed with AS50s I'll atempt to find out who it was and ban you. The server has a high amount of vehicles availble (max) and is veteran difficulty. It's UK hosted and all admins and owners are English speaking only.
