Now all it needs is a complete reset to get all those duped items out and vehicles back to locations. WIPE the map! >:D CLEAN SLATE! Or do it when you bring the dogs in! Im sure people still have 100 satchel charges, thousands of 50 cals etc.

I want to let you all know about a brand new DayZ map that I had the privilege of BETA Testing that is being released tonight! DayZ Fallujah By ViLayer. This is a HUGE city map with massive amounts of loot, vehicles, choppers, many industrial and military spawns. I think that this will be the best map yet for DayZ. During testing we found the map to be well balanced for infantry or vehicular warfare while still in keeping with the survival aspect of being attacked by zombies,as well as other survivors. The story is, After an Attack by us military the city of Fallujah has been ravaged by bio-weapons... during the battle, and of course... there are infected people roaming the city in need of human flesh to quench the hunger left by the toxic aftermath of a bio-war. Suggestions for the DayZ standalone - thinking outside of the limitations of an Arma 2 mod.

Here is my list of stuff I'd like to add: - 10 to 25% of the houses can only be opened/closed with the matching key. The keys are carried around by the zombie that used to live there, found randomly on the map because they wander around. The house is a safe haven and can only be opened with the matching key. Inside the house there can be room for 250 loot and when not used for 14 dayz the door opens for 7 dayz and then resets completely. Keys get attached to a keychain and like anything else can be transferred to players/lootpile/cars/tents. By doing this you give players a reason to actually hunt zombies instead of avoiding most of them. It also gives players a reason to hunt other players for the keys or setup a trade. It also makes the game more realistic and gives another layer to the end game. - Power generators running on fuel so you can light up your house. Powergenerators could be loot like exisiting engineparts and be used on houses. - 10 tot 25% of the vehicles also have keys, or only some special ones need a key. Same conditions as with houses. Destroying a car you can't get into has no use because you don't know if someone has found the key already. This makes people go looking for keys and vehicles all over the map and it's a nice "quest" to have. - Arms dealer or marketplace where you can sell your weapons, gadgets, keys or trade them. - Tents should have a shorter drawing distance than trees have. Because trees are transparant at a distance, the tents are way to easy to find. - Forests should be covered in leafs from up above so camp/vehicle hunting with helicopters becomes a lot harder. Not one forest on earth is transparant from up above and right now the forest serves little to no purpose in hiding tents. - No off-map. Make it normal map, or make it impossible to get there at all. I've been on servers where all the vehicles were taken by clans to the furthest point on the map and no-one without a vehicle could get em. It sucks. - Improve zombie A.I. and fix the aggro pulling. Make clothing have effect on aggro. Running/crouching in a ghillie suit at dusk in the forest should nog aggro as many zombies as it should when you're running past them in normal clothing in daylight.And fix it so they don't randomly aggro when you're running 200m behind one. Field of view is field of view and since zombies have dried out eyes they sure as hell don't have eyes int he back of their head. - Make zombies slower but more dangerous. Right now the only way to shoot them is inside. Outside they move all over the place which makes it impossible to aim right. The better option now is to flee into bushes and that's not right or as much fun as it could be. - The ability to build walls/trenches/caves/anything so you have an impact on the map and maybe make a suitable place for a base where one wasn't before. Camo nets could also be an option. - Make the map as big as it can get with more variation in villages/towns and the sizes and loot of those. -

Fraggle is right. Gathering, findibg and trading the items and vehicles is the most fun part. I usually limit my vehicle count to one, I always try to find a good off roader and live in it. Sometimes setting a tent up with some food and medical supplies. If you have a group and you have more vehicles than players within your group they should be blown up :) Good luck and have fun gathering supplies and getting those vehicles back! Found both friendly and bandits. Also found lots of vehicles. Worth picking up tires, fuel parts, engines, etc fairly quickly. Also found lots of helicopter crashes which are great to get top-line gear. -

Havent touched a thing been watching MIB 3 It is most likely a routing issue somewhere between server & players... Worse case it might be screwed till monday morning.... I turn up the battleye ping limit till it gets sorted out ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Anyway since i am posting... Servers updated to latest bliss... Random gear loadouts = broken till i figure out to get them to work with new bliss Custom crash sites are out atm, gonna redo them again. New Panthera Server @ IE #12.. Also with custom spawn locations & vehicles i.e pickup with machine guns / policecars / vw golfs etc... -

UPDATED: - Can now place sandbags which will turn into small fortified bunkers - you can then use these to respawn yourself when you die.. it sets as your default spawn location! no more trekking! - Fuel and all parts of vehicles can be removed/salvaged and used to repair other vehicles you may own! - Adjusted crash site loot, some cool BALANCED weapons now spawn, also increased drop rates of nvg's and gps's. - Many more features & fixes - inlcuding our unique parachute spawns, bandit system and vehicle repair system... New Lingor Private Hive, True 100+ Vehicles

I know this topic is older, but would you mind going over or making a tutorial on how to put These aforementioned vehicles into the game, Im not sure if it makes a difference on what type of server it is, saintly/bliss/sanctuary, but I'm saintly. Im trying to get this done without having to crack .pbo files, I'm hesitant to do that, if there is no other way, then I guess I will do it. Thanks for your time! You can PM on here, Ill be sure to repost the topic so that others can see it as well! Have a good one! For the record, i'd prefer a teach, ratherr than just posting the file or something. I think others should e able to put vehicles in the game as well. Also, I dont want any planes or armored vehicles in my server, but I'd like to add more civilian vehicle models as the saintly build currently allows 17. Thanks! -

Hi everybody, Our team was recently playing on this private DayZ server: 78.143.13.155:2302 DayZ Private DE 1932 (50 vehicles + 3 helis). Admins are clan EW. We have started nice camp - had 3 tents, 2 UAZs, 1 Pickup, 1 ATV, 1 car and 1 motorcycle. Then we have found 4 (5) helis - all over the map. I don't know if it was hacked or not, but today, we have connected to the server and seen, that somebody is looting our camp. So we took down 1 guy and the other one leaved. It was one of EW guys. Then all of us got kicked and later banned and they continued in crashing/looting and stealing our camp. So be aware of this server, they are huge admin abusers.

mkay, im gonna try this skydive, ive had this issue this morning (european time) put tents, saved the inventory, after restart, everything was gone -.- and yes, i was online shortly before and directly after the restart.... before erstart 1 mate and 2 other players were online and it was night... so no one could have found the tents -.- best method for me actually is saving items in vehicles... they save correctly and have all items in it after restart btw. it happened too with the actual version 1.7.3

Hey guys! Was just thinking about an option for faster Travelling with 2-4 players... Because theres only a helicopter for travelling by air, it would be a great idea to add an airplane like the cessna or something equivalent for travelling. Every dayz map has 3 or more airfields and u could maybe use the same parts for repairing, like the ones you use for normal vehicles... Engine parts, glasses, wheels and fuel tank (i think rotors wouldnt work in an airplane :D, maybe the engine parts work like engine and propeller parts) Dont know if the cessna is included in main arma, but i think it wouldnt be such a problem to implement this airplane in one of the coming patches for dayz (dont know how much work it is) here a example, the colors should be swithched, 3 or 4 players fit in this plane would be such a fun to discover dayz from up above with that ;)

That is kinda the point with DayZ too! - You can have the (semi) organised groups, but you have to meet them first! You might meet someone, trust them, then after an hour or running (or driving/flying!) together, they turn around and shoot you, so who do you trust? It can be hard, but you can end up teaming up with a few people, and forming a small group... build a camp somewhere, and organised runs out to get stuff... Maybe even arrange trades with other such groups. Others, on the other hand, may decide to go solo, and be either neutral, helpful, or outright bandits. Personally I like to team up with a select few, work together to survive and progress. I admit that it isn't as organised as a large scale Arma/2 operation, but then again, you are not really playing the 'part' of a soldier, your a survivor, so this makes sense. Be warned tho, there are lots of PvP bandits out there, including some backstabbers who pretend to be an ally, then turn on you to take your vehicle or goods when you are not looking. I know what you mean about being boring at first, I guess the thing to do is, DECIDE who you want to be - how would you be in real life? Being a friendly, or a bandit? Finding others you can trust? Perhaps find & repair a vehicle first, so you can exit quickly if things go bad? Personally I find the idea of being a solo PvP type a bit odd and boring (not saying ALL such guys are sociopaths, but...!). What I mean is, in real life, you would really want to team up, surely? What if you got ill/wounded? people live in communities for a reason, so maybe that could be your aim? join/make a squad/team? Don't expect others to follow orders tho! It's not the army, things have to be negotiated, like in real life :) Thats what I like, decide on your gameplay style and goals, and then work towards that... otherwise I get what you mean, you are basically just in 'walking simulator 2012' with some zombies thrown in! - Nah, for me it's all about thinking what I would REALLY do in an apocalyptic situation like this, and then trying to play that out as best I can. Some challenges maybe?: * Find a vehicle, and fix it up * Find a tent or two, gear up things you would need, and pick a quiet spot to set-up camp * Eventually find others to team up with, but be sure you can trust them * Deal with situations as they arrive - newcomers... defending camp, looting for things you need, fixing vehicles when damaged... surviving basically! Of course, if you do decide to be a friendly rather than a bandit, someone with ARMA experience like yourself could b every useful on high pop servers... Lots of bandits hang out and kill fresh spawns - I have seen, for example, two bandits running contests to see how many they can kill - puts new folks off the game quite a lot as they get disheartened... So there is always the option if you are a bored friendly, of leaving good gear in camp, and heading out for a spot of anti-bandit-PvP, redressing the balance a little. Basically lots of ways to play, just a case of deciding how you want to play the game, and going down that route. It's like, in ARMA/ARMA 2, there is a structure, in DayZ, you have to try to create that structure out of the chaos... That's my take on the game anyway!

Man, are you even reading that people CAN'T PLAY in our servers? 3) How are you even accepting orders for servers that have so many issues? First fix the issues, then let people pay you. -

So I logged onto a community hive server for the first time in ages. Arrive on Cherno beach, some guy turns up on a motorcycle and doesn't shoot me in the face?! I get on the back of his bike and he takes me on a coastal tour, I thank him for this by stealing his bike and getting chased by two guys in some eastern european police car, neither of which shoot me?!?! A little later I get picked up in a SUV by another guy, who doesn't shoot me in the face??! What the fuck is going on? Vehicles everywhere, people not killing me on sight? I've fucking had it with this game.
