The new Taviana is so bad, there are so many bugs. 1. Respawns swim on land 2. All the custom skins that everyone loved are gone, the Eu version had over 20 new skins 3. A lot more lag in citys 4. Vehicles have an option to refuel them when your driving them, when you do you get script rescription 44 5. the humanity system in EU is so much better, it rewards you for killing bandits. Where the .com is using the same shity version as normal 6. the new vehicles have just been dumped in, so they have radars and are over powered. 7. The Cj130 is buggy as hell, when you get in the back you bug out bad when you try to get out If where going to be forced to use a massively inferior version then i want be supporting it -

His ign is toshiba he has tp people to give them weapons and he tp'ed me because he wanted to kill me and i said (as a threat) i recorded it and he said he got my ip and he was going to DDOS me which is illegal, the server name is DayZ [1.7.4.4][PRIVATE HIVE][80+ vehicles, all repaired][10 heli crash sites]. I think that is all you need to know to get on the server, Sorry i don't have any proof but i am sure 100% he spawned boxes for people(Noobs) and i was getting angry cause these guys suck at it, then he tp'ed me and killed me then i said that i recorded it and he said he has my IP and he was going to DDOS me so i thought he should be global banned. Sorry for no proof but i want him banned. Please get him banned and the players -

Well, the server is already set up and I'm playing with a friend already, it was just that I wanted to get the scheduled restarted working so that the vehicles would spawn faster (new server, vehicle not spawning bug). Thanks though.

I have been playing DayZ for a while now, and have been in a few clans... when i joined my last clan it was fine, till people started hacking, and the Clan/Server owner hacked to find out where everyone in the server was, even find all vehicles and tents.... so i decided to leave and stopped playing, now i have decided to look for a new clan to join... hopefully in New Zealand or Australia.. I play for fun, Work well in a group, but.. i will shoot on sight if i don't trust a random i see, because it's hard to trust someone that you don't know and who is not in your clan... i use to help people out, by giving them food, water even weapons till some guy shot me in the back of the head, now i will only trust a clan member... So if there is any New Zealand/Australia clans out there willing to have me in the clan please leave a post.. and i will hopefully reply soon.. It would be good to add camouflage netting to conceal vehicles and make them less visible, or even full size camouflage netting for large area with can be used on lower mentioned shelters... Maybe good use of entrenching tool would be to be possible to dig out a small shelter underground witch would be supported by wooden beams and sand bags for walls, maybe ability to dig out trench...need to add some kind of trunk or a empty military crate in witch you can store equipment witch you can store somewhere lets say in this underground shelter. Another thing would be good to make all weapons take space in backpack or a car (any kind) according to its size, example... MP5A5 takes lets say 7 slots, and AS50 takes 18 slots... (note this is just random number for purpose of explaining better). Another option is to add weight system to all items in the game, that would be nice... and combined with mentioned above limit 'pros' < (people that thinks they are pro because of good gear... like one of my friends that play) of having 2-3 weapons on them at all times... Add batteries for NV and scopes that uses NV or similar equipment. Will be able to add seasons of the year ? It would be nice that falls snow...if possible, adding winter clothing and finally good reason for people to use heat packs ;) All from me for now :) Also would be nice to hear Devs what they have to say about our suggestions, witch sounds more doable than other... -

hi, Not in particular order: - I want dismemberment, more gore. - Better animations/collisions (should be improved with physX) - Game modability. Possibility to create islands, units, vehicles (later when hacking will be reduced) - Mission editor (later when hacking will be reduced) - Possibility to run your private dedicated server. - Increase game difficulty. - Better loot placement. Not just laying on the ground but in houses furnitures (beds, tables, lockers...) - I would like to be able to buy the game from BIS store. That's all I can thought ATM. I would like to see better vehicles, easier to drive in other words. The ability to give your self a blood pack would be a god send, or at the very least setup an I.V. Line when you are prone. -

This I am almost certain has been said before but these are some of my ideas. I cant wait for the game to come out so I can get it. Hoping it will be out for Christmas though my hopes are fading :o/ :(. 1.You have the ability to climb trees and(though you would need to have a piece of rope or a piece of clothing to do so).The ability to free climb and go mountaineering would also be very cool (this was suggested before by DaGolem on page 37). 2.You can break branches of of trees and make/get a long/short stick that could be used to bat away/kill zombies. 3.I think tracking should become more a part of the game. I think that people's tracks should be visible and they should stay for over a hour. I also believe that car tracks should be visible for much longer than that. 4.Bows should be implemented not crossbows but normal bows(I think rocket has said he is doing this but not sure)and you should be able to make them from wood and string in the forest(though home made bows would be very crude,less accurate and the home made arrows would be do less damage. 5.When you walk up to an animal or it sees you it should run away making it a challenge to kill with a hatchet like most people do. I also think that there should be more animals and onto a main point (I am not quite sure about this) I think there should be hostile animals in the wood so instead of just walking along with no fear apart from other players and hackers teleporting you to your doom there should be creatures like wolves, bears and snakes. 6.You should be able to jump over walls (only if they are at head height)and peak round corners in first person view basically like the SMK mod for Arma2 . 7.Guns should be very rare (does 7/10 people have a pistol in there house and ammo lying around) so its more like 1/20 people have a gun and only 1/25 have any ammo. 8.There should be bolt cutters and padlock along with more wire fences and wire-cutter. There should also be the ability to hide items in the ground with a spade or entrenching tool though there would be a small mount of dirt (though you could break of some branches and hide the mount under that(that means adding spades) or hide them in plane sight just out of reach like a bear bag. 9.The ability to fight bare handed or with a piece of rope(go up behind a sniping bandit and throttle him to death getting lots of good gear after having nothing. 10.Wounds stop bleeding after a while but if they are not bandaged then they have a chance of re-opening the wound. 11. If you kill a bandit it doesn't count as a murder(not sure if it is already implemented) and if a bandit shoots at another player you can shoot the bandit and it not be murder.You would know that they had been shot a using someone's :huh: idea of having a invisible bubble around yourself and if a bullet went inside your bubble it would count as self-defence if you shot and killed the enemy player. 12.More food in game,like apples and berries and stuff that you might find in the forest or on trees/bushes. 13.Bulletproof vests(which aren't completely bullet proof but can stop bullets and you take less damage from being shot. 14.The ability to surrender (you press a button and you drop the gun you are holding and your aide arm on the floor and take the magazine out).The ability to disarm people(take there guns and have them scattered around the player,like the possible surrender just the player being robbed doesn't drop there weapon it gets taken from them. 15.The ability to tie someone up(You are getting robbed and you decide to fight back you attack the robber and knock them out(doesn't mean that you have to be unconscious) and then tie them up with your rope. They can get out but it is like a minute long animation so if you are captured and try to escape you can't just untie yourself and get away with ease). 16. I'm not quite sure about this but skill. I Know I know,I don't mean it like you think I do.Instead I think it should be sort of like this. At the beginning of the game you can go straight in with one of the set backgrounds or you can design your own history(like mount and blade) and then in game you slowly get better at things but only a tiny amount so that it should be more I am good at this in real life (I'm a good medic) so in game you don't need help. e.g. I spend 3 hours killing zombies with a hatchet I become more proficient in two-handed weapons(you deal 2% more damage). This is sort of like the Project Zomboid skill system(take a look and you will understand). 17.This is just a cool little idea.You should spawn in and be clean shave or in the case of a woman short hair. The longer you survive the more hair you have so if you see someone with a short beard they are a reasonably fresh spawn and if you see someone with a long beard or long hair then they have been alive a long time. 18.If you become a bandit you are not stuck with a scarf round your head and can take it off. This means that there may be more player killing as less people will kill on site(the are less people with eh scarf round there head(the bandit skin) and so you won't kill them straight away). 19.You should be able to take clothes of dead people(you kill a ghillie guy and you want his ghillie so if this was put in you could take the ghillie and the guy would go back to normal clothes). 20.You shouldn't be able to run for ever(have a limit on how far you can run/sprint say 45 minutes of running and then a hour of jog then 2 hours of walking until you need to rest and then a quarter of that time until you can do those things again) 21.You regain blood over time and if you have used a blood bag you get a empty blood bag that you can fill with you own blood or someone (so it can be re-filled) the more you re-fill a blood bag the more chance of getting a disease.There should also be blood types in game so not all blood can be used on you. 22.More melee weapons and the ability to get swords and if you have just picked up a sword you have slower swing time and you take a step forward every swing(this gets less and less the more you use it)three more things about swords. You should be to have them in a scabbard at you side or tied to your belt. You should be able to practice with your sword where you do a little mini-game where you have arrow-keys popping up on your screen and the more correct arrow keys you press in time the better you get. You have to sharpen your sword so that it doesn't get blunt and do less and less damage. 23.More low tier vehicles that are almost fully repaired or only need really simple things. e.g. a wooden row boat that only needs some wood(a wood pile/planks)which you can easily find or get. 24.Having belts or pieces of rope that you can have round you waist to hold a sword(as above) or pistol.You could also make a sling(for your gun) out of rope so you can use a melee weapon or do a action without putting away your gun. 25.You need to sleep(this can be done when you disconnect)not quite sure how it would work but still think it should be in there. 26. Being able to run over the roofs of buildings and be able to jump from roof to roof(to a extent)you should have a boost ability so you can boost another player over a wall and then they could pull you up too. 27. being able to drink from a water source with your hands(though you have a high chance of getting sick) and if you put water in a bottle it still has a high chance of making you sick though you can purify it. 28. Booby traps and lots of them(they all have different effects e.g. and warning booby trap that sets of a grenade or a harming booby trap that well hurts you) 29. A bag you can hold which has lots of slots in it but it means you can only hold your secondary when you are carrying it and you are far slower.Though you cold put it down and use your gun if necessary. 30.A full black tactical(black) night ops suit. This is fully black and is sort of camo so you are very hard to see. There should be military grade night ops suits that can be found in military bases(and are one of the more common military loot spawns)there should also be the ability to make your own night ops suit though it would be lower quality. 31. You should be able to use basic paints and mud to camouflage yourself and your vehicles. You could also use this to dull down the colors of clothing though eventually it should wear off (depending on what weather you are in e.g. mud would come of faster in rain than in the sun. 32.More realistic hunting animations and more variation in the landscape like the hunter(more animals and the ability to track Thanks for reading and I hope you liked these ideas could you please tell me what you think and give me a comment. -
I am curious as to how the actual vehicle respawning mechanics work in DayZ. If I destroy a car, is there a chance it could make room for a helicopter to spawn? Or, are cars, boats, bikes, helicopters, and planes all in separate categories (destroying a car spawns another car, destroying a heli spawns another heli. etc.) We've been playing on Taviana, and the logs show no UH1H has spawned after a few days now. So, I would like to know whether our attempts at getting one to spawn by blowing up other vehicles is futile. Thanks!

Legitdayz.com has been around for about three months now and is gaining in popularity due to the solid work provided by the main admin Lucent, his brother Ace743 and the stead group of players dedicated to fair play without hacks or exploits. Legitdayz.com was formed after the two founders were tired of not being able to play dayz for more than an hour without some kind of unfair interference by hackers and/or admins who chose to abuse their "power." We decided to form not only a server but a like minded trustworthy community that all have a common goal, to play this game for what is was meant to be. This topic is for those who are in search of active, mature-enough players to play dayz maps. Little info on what we do. We make a group call in Skype, find a Vilayer server(only servers we play on), we find each other using vehicles/running/helicopters. After we get ready to hop to a more populated server to encounter more people who could be friendly or bandits. From there gentlemen whatever happens, happens. We do not joke around shooting each other, if you do so, you will be looked down upon, and if continued, will be killed and blocked from Skype. We encourage more players who are experienced, so finding each other won't be a hassle when dealing with new comers. Also if you have a really annoying kid voice, we will block you from the start. Typical regular maps we play on frequently: Chenarus, fullujah, lingor, namalsk, zargabad Requirements: 18+ must have Skype all maps downloaded or will be downloaded must live within 1-3 hour time zones from PST if you have any other questions feel free to send me a message on here or skype my skype username mdmiked

The topic with the tractor got me thinking about using vehicles to build bases. And so, I went a step further, and imagined using vehicles to use vehicles to build bases. What if we could acquire, with much difficulty, tow trucks, to move broken vehicles into barriers. Imagine walling off an entire street (or even town) with piled up vehicles, leaving only an opening for your own vehicles. These vehicles, however, would be extremely difficult to acquire, repair and a pain in the ass to operate. Moving vehicles and piling them up would be painfully slow, and make a ton of noise, thus attracting zombies. With any luck, in standalone a windshield won't be an anti-zombie barrier, and teammates will be required to fend off the hordes of zeds. Furthermore, towing these broken vehicles off-road would be extremely slow, and towing a vehicle up a grassy slope would simply be impossible. Whether or not this is extremely authentic isn't that big of an issue-- it would serve a good purpose: keeping these blockades in urban environments. While having your fort completely walled around by actual cover (not provided by tank-traps and wire fencing) presents a distinct advantage, this advantage would be too much if taken out of the city. So by keeping the huge forts within the cities, it provides the following: 1) Great environment and mood for players wandering city streets, only to find a portion blocked off and patrolled by a group that has set up shop. 2) A disadvantage for the fortress defenders, as they still have to deal with zombies and are more visible. Obviously people would try to grief with this new feature, but they couldn't do as much damage as is already done with tank-traps, and it would provide obstacles to overcome. So what if a player (after investing hours, if not days, finding and repairing a tow-truck), decides to block off the entrance to the supermarket? Break the glass or find an another entrance. No entrance? Well, try to move it. Go prone underneath it. Wire fencing at the base of a wall of vehicles, with the occasional tank trap scattered about, would look awesome.

This was taken down for some reason, but I got it off google cache, and I'm re-uping it. If it was taken down becuase people think it makes it easier to hack, trying to withhold information from the community is never the answer to a problem. Hackers know how to use google. Introduction I originally posted this topic on the NZ server forums, since NZ servers were the ones most heavily plagued by hackers. As such a lot of the estimations won't be relevant, but I imagine everybody knows that hackers are still very much present on servers in other regions. Despite how many times people lie to themselves "it's impossible to avoid hacking in online games", there is no denying that compared to any other online game such as Battlefield 3 or WoW, hacking in DayZ is disturbingly more common. By my estimation, at least a quarter of the players on NZ servers are hackers. Where did I get this estimation? I didn't simply pull it out of nowhere, or somehow deduce a figure from deaths or hacker reports. I know this to be true, because as a hacker you can spot other hackers. That was my initial purpose when I decided to purchase a script kit, to see just how bad the situation truly is. I know there are still many honest players out there, and once in awhile I get to revert some of them who were turned into dogs by other hackers. I created this thread to provide the community with an overview on hackers' behaviours, their scripts, and how you should act to avoid personal losses. I'll be skipping anything that's overly obvious such as "server getting nuked, there must be a hacker". The Hackers Make no mistake. The hackers are at the very top of the food chain, and for some reason they are A LOT more common on NZ servers than any other region. If you can live with the ping, play on an US server and you will by default save yourself a lot of grief (from hacking at least). There are two extremes of hackers. On one end is the griefer, the typical kind that nukes servers, kill people while invisible, godmode, hack guns, fly jets, etc. On the other end is the regular, a hacker who plays the game like any other regular gamer, but gives himself an advantage of some sort via hacking. From what I've seen both types are equally common on the NZ servers. If you see someone who is geared to the teeth and acting recklessly, then it's probably too good to be true. There is nothing wrong with being a bandit, that's part of DayZ, but choose your targets carefully. The Scripts Hackers have a lot of powerful scripts, some of which are even quite useful against other hackers. I myself have used Lock Man repetitively on some other hackers (which even disables their ability to bring up the hack menu) and force them to rage quit. Some hacks are very noticeable, leaves traces on servers or has very devastating effects, I'll call them high-profile. Others are a lot less detectable, and often enough when you died to a hacker you might have thought that it was simply bad luck. High Profile Spawn Weapon Crate - Some hackers are bold enough to spawn large weapon crates in the middle of towns. These weapon crates generally contain 20 of every weapon in the game (ARMA 2), some of which not obtainable by normal means in DayZ. If you see one... well, I guess it's not your fault that the temptation is too great. You won't get into any trouble if you loot from it, but feel free to avoid the crates for moral reasons. If you do choose to pick up a weapon however, make sure that it officially exists in the DayZ universe. If it's a weapon that's only available in ARMA 2 then it will disappear upon relog. Thunderdome - Thunderdome is a script that teleports all players on a server to a deathmatch arena filled with guns. The only way to get out of this dome without logging off is to survive 5 minutes, and then secure the helicopter which will spawn at the centre of the arena. Technically hackers can actually desync the players before summoning them to the arena, so that even if you die in the arena you will still retain the gear you had prior to the teleport. Sadly most people who use this script are griefers who never cared about that. Oh, "illegal copies may degrade", so your chopper will disappear upon server restart. Teleport to Hacker - A simpler script than Thunderdome, hackers can teleport an entire server's population (or a single player in particular, e.g. a non-hacking friend) to where he is. In fact, as soon as you see your scenary change suddenly, abort asap. Don't bother shouting "WTF". This is no time to socialise when the hacker probably has something nasty (i.e. satchel charge) planned for the crowd, if he opted to use teleport instead of nuke. Remember, when in doubt, log out, or at least hit "z" key. Prone won't save you from explosives, but hiding in a large pile of corpses can at least prevent you from being killed by other nervous players. Jets/Choppers/Artillery - While choppers are in game, you probably won't see any legit chopper being used to solely show off in Cherno and grief people. Again, if you start hearing too many explosions, log off straight away. Explosions are good indicators for hackers intending to grief, so even if you manage to survive some carpet bombing, there is probably a nuke coming next. PlayerMorph - Remember those stories of players being turned into dogs and cows? If it happens, log out straight away. Even if the hacker doesn't kill you immediately, if you wait around a curious player may just decide to try get some dog meat. You should return to your human form upon relog, although your gear may or may not be lost. Bodyguards - A script very rarely used by hackers. This script summons half a dozen M4-wielding NPCs who will follow the hacker. These NPCs attract zombies, and attack zombies and other players on sight. Low Profile AddItems - The most common hack used by all walks of hacking life. Unless the weapon is not a legit DayZ weapon, there is virtually no way of conclusively proving that someone is adding items. If you start seeing half the people on a server wearing ghillie suit (which is the "uniform" for 90% of the hackers, like the old bandit skin), wielding AS50 and spamming satchel charges, then the picture should be obvious. Godmode - Surprisingly many hackers don't actually use this script, since it takes too much away from the game (no hunger, thirst, disease, etc.). If you ever suspect that a hacker may have godmode on, and if your weapon and position don't offer a great aim, then your best course of action is to log off. Running is useless, if a hacker truly wants you die, you will die, whether that's by teleportation and bullets, dog-transformation, broken legs or a simple kill command. Hackers with godmode on can still bleed (animation only), and they can't remove the animation without first turning off godmode and bandage. If you see some guy in ghillie suit happily bleeding without a care, then you should probably avoid him. Invisibility - This is a very popular hack. Invisibility turns the hacker's skin invisible, however the hacker makes just as much noise (from moving, coughing, etc.), and the zombies can spot/hear the hacker just as well. Invisibility turns the gun invisible, but the smoke still appears. If the hacker is bleeding, then the blood will also give him away. Don't try to hunt down an invisible hacker, since chances are godmode is also on. Log off. ESP - Yes, hackers have a working EPS which shows people's name tags around them up to 800m. Virtually all the hackers have this on, as such trying to hide from a hacker is pretty pointless. Often enough when you get ambushed despite taking every precautions, hacking may be involved. Map Markers - Currently hackers can mark players, vehicles, tents and helicopter crashes on both the map and their GPS. As such, always remember that your camp and car aren't safe. Since hackers didn't have to work hard to gather all the loot or repair a car, their actions are often destructive when they find tents and cars. Other hackers may pretend to have found the car/tents via normal means and lead their clans to them. Don't always blame server resets, sometimes it's simply hackers stealing your very well-hidden stuff. The only safe place to store any loot is on an alt character from a second copy of ARMA2. Teleport - Most people know that hackers can teleport, but people probably don't know that hackers can only teleport to the ground level. This means that if you are at the top of a building a hacker can't simply teleport right behind you. He'd have to teleport to the first floor and work his way up. Use this information how you will. If the hacker is in a vehicle, then the vehicle teleports with the hacker. Infinite Ammo - This is pretty self-explanatory. If you hear a DMR/AS50 being spammed without any interval for reload, then there is probably a hacker. The effect also covers satchel charges. Lock Man - This script locks a single player's, or the entire server's inputs. This means your camera will be frozen, and any key you press will have no effect. The effect expires upon relog, so most people may initially think that it's simply a DayZ bug. In any case it's definitely a very good idea to log out straight away. While you are trying to bash your keyboard a hacking sniper is probably zeroing his rifle on you. There are countless other scripts out there, but most of them are either too obvious or useless (e.g. parachuting cows). Remember, many of these scripts (after proper modification) can be applied to other players who aren't personally hacking (e.g. godmode and invisibility). To Kill a Hacker Generally speaking it's not plausible to try and kill a hacker, but sometimes it is not impossible. Unless you are a hacker yourself, you will be severely disadvantaged against a hacker. Contrary to popular belief, the most common godmode does not offer absolute protection. It doesn't provide "damage immunity", instead it provides the hacker heals to full blood at very quick intervals. This means that any attack which cannot instant kill is pointless, a whole clip to a hacker's chest won't even scratch them. This also means that hackers can die from a perfect headshot. It may not always work, since there may be, or may eventually be other forms of godmode. Think very very carefully about killing a hacker though. If a hacker is willing to resort to godmode, then chances are killing him would be like taking new toys from a little kid. You may very well doom your entire server to an imminent rage-nuke by pulling that trigger. Well, you can always be a bit selfish, but you don't want to be there when the kid throws a tantrum. Hackers Get Banned This is the eventual consequence of hacking. There is no exception to this, period. People may see a lot of hackers on servers and think that these hackers have never been banned. The truth is these hackers are constantly in the process of buying new copies of ARMA2 in order to continue their hacking spree. The hackers may not go away, but do you want to lose your copy? The only reason I'm using the kit myself is because I have literally nothing to lose. In a sense I have already stopped playing the game. If you are foolish enough to actually search up these hacks and use them, then you will lose your account. It may take a few days, it may take a couple weeks, but it will happen. We have added more vehicles to the map. Now, more are spawning on the coast for beginner players. If a vehicle has no activity in 5 days, it will be removed from the map. -
IP: 208.43.33.119:3323 Great regulars always on, 100 custom vehicle spawn points(no map on the internet will help you here) , custom loadout. Day and night, admins have email to comment on things you might like to see happen if they are too long of requests to type in game. Active admins are always on, or monitoring. Just ask the people in the server if they like it. And the custom vehicle spawn points are great because a new player has just as much of a chance as a veteran at finding vehicles. Nothing is worse than being a bambi and watching everyone driving around while you are hoofing it everwhere. GREAT PLACE TO CALL HOME.

Well me and my friend was looting the town and then i got shooted by a hacker, it was 100% a hacker, he had ALL STUFF, NV Googles, GPS, Entranching tool and some other awesome shits, and he had HERO Skin. Some minutes he ported again to us and yea just check da logs, hes hundred procently a hacker

Hi, i donno much about scripting or server side things but, is it possible to "implement" a trip system ? since there alot maps already, and we can find vehicles ... could be fun to trip around maps in the same server without leave a server and join another one ... just loading the map by a trigger at end map (around map limits, main roads and air). Thx. have a good one.
