Right now, we have started a contest called Bike Wars on the server. Be the first player to collect six (6) bicycles in one place will win. This server will never claim to be hacker/scripter free because we know that to be absolutely impossible. There are only 3 admins that even have access to the dayz.st map offered and we only use it for server monitoring and maintenance when we are NOT playing.

In public servers, you can safely store vehicles at around the 997 line. But its considered cheating to store anything with in this boundry. Not my opinion, just seems a general. -
Hi, I'm Atheistpuppy, I just started playing, but I'd really like to get myself into a clan or group of people who want to help other survivors. I haven't killed anyone yet, but I've established quite a nice looting career. I'm standing with an AS50, 3 10 clips, an M4A3 CCO with more ammunition than needed to feed an army of bullet-eating robots, all of the equipments (including MilFlash and Entrenching), and a coyote (backpack, of course)! I'm apparently great at not getting killed and looting. I'm working on vehicles at the moment. Also, just in case anyone would respond with a fake clan to steal my stuff, save both of us some time and just ask for what you need. Lol 19 Years old, have a mic, and ready to play.

If you only play DayZ because you like to run around alone looting, you are in the beginner stage of DayZ players. How long have you played this mod, one month? Survival is not a challenge at all, so what else is there to do than hoarding the best gear and vehicles, while killing people in the process? -
Just another giant +1 in support of sticking to a vision and not settling for some lowest common denominator version of what the "community" thinks it wants. To paraphrase what Venthos, I believe, said on reddit a few days ago: "The story of DayZ since the rise of private hives seems to be largely an attempt to mod DayZ back into ARMA, more weapons, more vehicles, more combat." I'm glad I'm not the only person who already enjoys ARMA, but is looking for something different.

There's been literally hundreds of changes. It's probably easier if you take a look through the changelogs of all of the updates released since you left. There's a new combat log mechanic, new vehicles, new maps available, lot's of bug fixes and subtle changes too. -

What is the best map on dayZ?

The attention to detail in Taviana is breathtaking. Martin the creator seems to be obsessed with the minutiae of design - down to life preserver rings around the inland sea, or the incredibly impressive Oil-Rigs out at sea. But on the downside, it hasn't had the Dayz squalor and decay added to it. The fences and walls mostly have no holes, so you get forced to take pointless long winded yomps. And the mountain/volcano texturing is tragic, bare, empty and a pain in the ass to WALK up to steal the 6 billion stockpiled vehicles that are hidden up there. NAMALSK - was ruined by the EVR event and Bloodsuckers, now you are knocked unconscious every 40 minutes for no other reason than because SUMRAK wishes DayZ was STALKER. CELLE - No hills at all. 3 x Massive military loot farms. Thick treelines make it easy to hide vehicles in woods. CHERNARUS - Zzzzzzzzzzzzz. Like a model, beautiful, but dull. This is where all the hackers hang out. -

LOL stop trying to make this about hording vehicles, I only care if you horde if you obtained them by using survival hack. I been doing this for a while I may not be as good as US 303 but I know for a fact your aren't either. Survival/Navigator is not detectable so don't even bother to go on about how to admin a server. Pretty hilarious cause the A-Team clan is all my friends who play legit in any game on the market. Throwing around false claims this entire post. Its funny, once your group was removed from the server everything has been fine. No longer do people fix up a uaz and 20mins later it is gone from the far reaches of Chenarus. Enough of the bs, this forum topic needs to get locked cause this is a complete waste of time and effort. I gave you the email, if you don't want to play on the server so be it. -

I'd prefer for the amount of mods to be scaled back massively if not eliminated entirely. Reasoning? At the moment, the game is a veritable clusterfuck of servers running different versions of the mod, the beta patch, maps, and whatever else. Think about it: You want to play takistan? you need to find a server that's running the right version, running the map, running the right beta patch, and has a set of rules to it that is tolerable. 40 helicopter, 400 vehicles, start with an M4 SD server, anyone? I would definitely like to see private hives, and new maps. Private hives because then there's no server hopping ever. And maps because I'm willing to bet Chernarus+ will get boring after a while. It's just too hard to maintain a grip on quality control if you allow people to mod your shit willy-nilly. Not to mention it makes it easier for the hackers.

A few new vehicles I will be adding to the new server on the dedi box. All the following vehicles have been tested and work / spawn correctly. :) Working on getting more vehicles but need to find a way to use non DayZ vehicles without using RMOD, and by removeing them from the DayZ banned vehicle list which prevents them from spawning. -

Honestly, I hope the standalone stays as closed as possible for quite some time. And this is coming from someone who has been playing BI games since the original Operation Flashpoint came out, and everyone who has played OFP or any of the ARMA games knows it's modding that these games are all about. DayZ is a different story IMO. While it is true the mod would obviously not exist without modding, it is it's own game now. I don't think rocket's idea ever was to just create an ARMA mission with some zombies thrown in. This is the issue I have with modding of the actual mod - it has/is becoming a fragmented, watered down version of itself. Private hives are good for dealing with cheaters but most of the time they stray way too far away from the original concept just to provide a more accessible experience and attract more players. "Who to heck wants to travel by foot anymore?" illustrates the issue pretty well I think. People are so used to vehicles that they don't want to play without them anymore. Not only it effectively makes the map 10x smaller, but everyone on the map having a vehicle just isn't in the spirit of what this game/mod originally was about. Custom maps are cool, though even there people have gone as far as making an Utes version of the mod which is pretty ridiculous. Don't get me wrong. Taviana, Namalsk, Panthera and others are great and I've enjoyed playing them in both ARMA and DayZ now but you can tell they are user made islands. I'm not against user made maps in the future but I would still rather have a professionally made map created specifically for a zombie apocalypse in mind. In short, I believe DayZ SA can survive without modding, and in fact the game having vision, someone to make certain decisions and not leave everything up to the community can actually be a good thing in the long run. -
It's definitely an interesting watch/read. In my mind The Road is more of a typical apocalyptic "end of the world" itself rather than the possible "end of mankind" in Dayz. Hence working vehicles, structures mainly intact, good to be scavenged, still living farm animals etc. I too would like the Mexican stand off rather than the whose "quickest on the draw" shoot outs we get now. L

Great New Server Looking for New Players!

Hey Everyone! EBK just got our own server up and want others to join. We are playing on the Chernarus map currently, tons of vehicles and super fair admin. The server hasn't had any hacker issues, and all we ask is for hackers to do it elsewhere please. We like good clean fun, no exploits what so ever, we would even prefer if people use their flashlilghts in the dark rather than shooting up their gamma so they can run around with a DMR at night. Its just more fun to play fair! If you would like to join just search "everybodykillers" in dayz commander and you should see us. Hello survivors! We run a non-whitelisted, [Hardcore] (essentially meaning 1st person only) Namalsk server seeing as there aren't very many of those out there anymore. No more 3rd-person exploitation. We are hoping to provide a clean and hacker-free server for everyone to enjoy! (server will be rolled back 30 mins in case of any hacker-related issue) Once the server gets sufficiently populated we, the admins, intend to arrange random occuring events as seen in the Survivor Gamez. An announcement on the sidechat will be performed, stating what and where the event is ocurring Example of an event: "A crazed farmer has been spotted on the shores of Western Army Checkpoint hunting for sea shells with a CZ550, surely this is an endeavour bound to fail" Either admin 1 or admin 2 will take the role of whatever character. Hopefully this will bring more action and a better dynamic on the server. We will try to spread out the events on the map so that every player is not huddling at either A2, Seraja or Northern Army Base. Keep in mind that these events will ONLY be carried out by either myself (Highyard) or Scribbly (or both of us). First, if you had an open source game, it would be a larger hacker fest pretty much just like it was 2 months ago when you couldn't watch a 20 minutes video of dayz without seeing hackers, I think you should be able to modify the vehicle count and stuff on servers but the fact that you can do that doesn't mean the game is open to be modified, if by modifying vehicles and stuff you mean adding your own vehicles, then no, you can do that right now because DayZ basically blocks some of the vehicles and guns from ArmA 2, and to add guns that aren't in the game you would had to mod it, and by being able to mod a game you can get hackers in, because with the mods you don't only create vehicles you can use them to add features that doesn't need to be supported by the server to be used, like in minecraft where you can add a radar and stuff like that, you could also make ghilie suits glow in the dark, so no -

Dont worry when the SA comes out you will be complaining about all the esp, aimbot, godmode hacks. Instead of vehicles appearing. DayZ would not exist without modding and to see people saying they want the modding aspect shut down because they convince themselves that it will reduce hackers blows my mind. Heck DayZ is the first game where hackers were creative and wanted to spice up the players experience without killing them by scaring them and such. Sure you had a few that did dumb things but some of them were actually fun.

Hey guys! Swadel here. Im running a small 25 slot Chernarus Server and looking to get some peeps playing on it :) The server is GMT and in the UK. Mature Admins and I only restart once a day. Unless it needs to be restarted for performance issues or something. Classic DayZ there are 53 vehicles they are in various conditions cause i think repairing vehicles is fun and makes them more valuble. 3 Helos. The Server is on UK realtime full day night cycle and weather. Dont worry though everyone spawns with NVG's, a Map, Coyote Pack, and silenced M9. Im always monitoring the server even out of game so if you need help with something ask. New players are welcome :) All i ask is that you are Mature and have fun! Plus, Rocket has said multiple time he wants the game to be "authentic", not realistic. A Zombie Apocalypse isn't very realistic, but he aims to authentically simulate it, with the necessary restrictions that the game still is fun. I personally would prefer 3dp being taken out except if in Vehicles, but actually I don't give a shit if it's in or not. May those who need it use it... -

Updates 1/26 Gotcha Anti-hack Custom handmade anti-hack scripts New loot tables and now NO .50 Cal Sniper GUNS New guns including G36C, Saiga 12k, AK 107 PSO, SVD, m40, AK 107 Kobra, RPK 75 Lift script enabled for helicopters Limited Military Vehicles Shortened 3 hour "mini-nights" with full dusk, full twilight, and shortened darkness, (but otherwise unaltered darkness) NEW 24/7 "ADMIN HELP ME!" text system* A few clans, and groups have begun to populate our little world. I have managed to keep it virtually, if not totally hacker free. The .50 Cal sniper guns were replaced with m40s, and SVDs. So in other words snipers are still welcome, but I just can't see a place for the Barret, or the AS50 in the Dayz core experience. Some other aspects of the map have been customized for a more pure Dayz feel, and military vehicles while still somewhat present, are rare and special. Visibility on most days in Taviana is probably about 800 yards, although a sunny afternoon can offer visibility up to 1.5-1.75km. It's been a lot of fun so far, and we'd love to have a few more survivors, bandits, and heros. Currently two clans have been living on ShastasDayz01, with ten members between them, and another dozen or so lone wolfs. If you want near 24/7 protection against hackers, and you would like to play a Taviana map with no Rmod, no .50 Cal guns, a toned down inventory of military vehicles, and no admin players...Come check us out at IP- 173.192.200.76 port-3238. I take a lot of pride in making the server, and all the spawns run correctly.
