I agree with Stig. He's working on the standalone so obviously the mod's going to have less updates recently. There's going to be a completely revamped medical system, loads of customization options, more guns and vehicles... What more do you need to know? It'll be worth the wait.

Next patch will introduce multiple weapons and aswell some vehicles. So you'll get what you wish for. :)

Many talking about SA and how great it will be. Honestly im not much of a graphic critic, gameplay i most important to me. Ofcourse this is the mod and SA is the game. did we really need the glock icon? are you astouned by rockets interior designes? I think most people expect some content to be unleashed by now! New vehicles and weapons?? where are those, i could have made those glasses shine and those wallpapers to look nice in 5mins in an architect program myself. Honestly DayZ is getting boring, i havent played chernarus in probably 3 months and mostly nowdays my friends play wasteland or someting else.. DayZ will die before its released.

I play with a few friends usually but have to decided to make a larger group! We only have a few requirements for joining and you can fulfill the requirements easily if you do not already meet them. We play on a few different Private Hives and also official servers. We are pretty well geared and would like to share with other people. You can talk to me on skype if you have any questions: Johnrobb123 REQUIREMENTS: 1. Be mature and don't cry. (No complaining) 2. Have skype/teamspeak (Skype is required but TS is optional) 3. Know basic game mechanics (sickness, looting, general directions, food/water etc) 4. Be trustworthy (Don't joke around about shooting teammates and other obnoxious things) 5. Follow directions! (Do anything an officer says!) 6. No age/race/gender/religion restriction. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! After you meet these requirements you may choose a role. Roles enforce organization and discipline. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASSAULTER - Carries heavy weaponry such as M16s or LMGs. This player leads the team in combat and must have above average PVP skills. NUTCASE - Runs around Cherno/Elektro with an axe at night throwing flares at Noobs. MEDIC - A medic carries most of the medical supplies, food, and drinks. They will stay a bit behind the team with an average weapon such as an M1014 or AK. SCOUT - A scout is a lightly armed player who is the first to move in on a looting run. They will inform the squad of valuable gear, zombies, and players. This is a hard position because you could be the first to die but you will be greatly respected. ENGINEER - This player is the medic of vehicles. They are in charge of carrying things such as Jerry Cans, Wheels, Rotor assemblies etc. They will carry average weaponry but will have the largest backpacks. SPOTTER - This player will carry heavy weaponry and will guard and spot for the sniper. They will stay back with the sniper spotting zombies/players for the squad. They will also be the first to receive a map, binoculars, and a rangefinder. This position is also a navigator for the team. SNIPER - This is a pretty obvious role... This player will be the first to receive camouflage clothing and any rifles. This player will carry advanced weaponry such as M14s, DMRs, and M107. You must have precise aim and have no lag. The sniper will stay back with the spotter eliminating threats. MECHANIC - This player is the second to receive maps and other navigational devices. This player is different from the Engineer as Mechanics search for vehicles. Mechanics will split from the group along with a good pvper to search for vehicles. He will then mark them on the map for the team to come to. Actually, this was suggested and it would be possible to put some type of tarp over vehicles once the Standalone builds it's base foundation for eliminating hackers as their first steps.. Step 1. Eliminating most hackers/balancing/fixing game. Step 2. Vehicles; ability to strip, add parts to vehicles. Step 3. Possible Construction feature.

Ok well i downloaded this tool i met a guy on Dayz and since my friend owns a server he has downloaded this also, Where are the proper instructions on how to use this?? I was told by the guy you would be able to spawn vehicles and weapons not hacked weapons but to a limit of possibilities. And easier control of other things. So that being said i run it and i see people some times and can just kick ban them.. thats about it i dont understand where are the other commands that allow me to do more things, change to daytime, restart server so fresh loot spawns , etc.. change maps stuff like that, There are no proper instructions and it would really help if you could provide some. Thank you silver! I have worked very hard to make a lot of cool vehicle scenes to the map. Personally I think in a zombie apocalypse there should be vehicles everywhere and limited supplies. I have yet to dip into the mission files so other than vehicles the map is vanilla. I later plan to add some barracks to NE. I hope you guys give it a try!

Exactly! You can buy .50 BMG caliber rifles, or .7.62x51, or 7.62x39, or 5.56. I've even heard of a private citizen in the U.S. owning a WWII era anti-tank gun. It kinds looked like a howitzer. Also rifles like the M107 and AS50 would be that powerful in real life as they were not originally intended to be used on people but objects such as vehicles. Their name says it all. Anti-material rifle. If you've never seen a .50 BMG round you should look it up and try to find a comparison picture to something you know the size of. Those things are huge.

I want a vehicle. I got an AS50 with 6 NATO mags, all full, an M4A3 with idk how many mags, I forgot, as well as an MP5A5 but no ammo. You tell me what vehicle you ahve and I will offer on it. There are a FEW vehicles I won't take, such as: The Bus. Too huge, hiding it is like trying to hide a baby elephant that takes WAY too much gas. Boats. Never had much luck with them, plus no gear storage Helicopter. like hiding a baby elephant made of pure gold. Too much of a target, might as well go ahead and shoot myself to save them the bullet and the trouble. Besides, would probably cost me a ton more than what I have to offer. That's about all I have to say, although if I get too many people knocking at my door to sell me a bicycle, I will put them on the list too. Not even worth the M4 alone.

I think you can turn off Private Hives if you use DayZ commander, so that's one way you can do it. The other is that official servers have to follow a certain naming rule. For example, a private hive might be called "GenericClanGaming #2 [v1.7.4.4][MORE VEHICLES][CUSTOM LOOT][270 HELI'S][EXTRA GAYNESS+] - dayz.st" Where as a public hive server's name: "DayZ - US 1234 (v1.7.2.4/beta 95417) [3DP:ON CH:OFF][uTC-4] DayZMod.com - DayZWiki.com" (stolen from dayzwiki.com) The thing to look out for, is pretty much the "US 1234" part, most servers named like this are public hives. If it says more vehicles, or more loot, it's private.

This server is horrible. Me and my friends are playing on this server and suddenly my friend gets banned, along with like 10 other people. I ask the admin, "why?". He says he had some illegal gun when he only had an AKS-74 U. Which was of course a lie. I tell him that it is a horrible server, as he begins banning more people, and inform him kindly that this is not how you run a server and it is only a good way to make sure people don't join your server... and I got banned. Well some time ago i joined this server, i was really expecting this server to be like any other: Lazy admins, rude players, 0 help towards new people and hackers everywhere. But what i saw was something completely different and this is what i found in this server. - The admins are very active. - The players AND admins are very friendly. - The admins give full support to the players that are not only new to the server but to DayZ and very often the players help eachother. - There are many players and admins you can get help from, online at all times! - Nobody is ever ignored as long as they are respectful enough when asking for help or advice and even when they are not, often the people on the server knows to turn the other cheek and still give support. - There are a lot of events in this server, organized by the admins were everyone is free to participate and every event has rewards so many people participates for rewards or just for the fun of it! (So far i've been trough vehicle-race, controlled-deathmatch, hide and seek and other events. - Even so if you don't happen to win a event altough you wanted a reward often the admins deliver the players on the server gifts which sometimes consist in give-away vehicles, weapons/ammo crates and other things! - Hackers are very little of a problem in this server ~Now, i have my own story about the hacker experience in this server, before, i played in other servers and whenever a hacker made something to the characters or items of the players, the server would restart and everyone would start from 0.~ ~In this server however, there was a hacker who deleted everyone's items from their containers and vehicles, i thought we would be told to carry on with what we had left, but instead, the admins got rid of the hacker and made their best to give back each and every one of the players their items and set things back to normal PLUS extra items as a gift from them.~ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personally, i fell in love with this server from the first day i joined it, i made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun adventures with: Stryder: The morpho-admin who often barks at me and does an amazing impression of a chicken. (Very helpful admin, a talented voicer and driver... except when it comes to parking a bus. (see thread of "Stryder can't park for sh*t" at Unitedsurvivors.net to get it.) and a stalker.) Solame: The extreme-pilot-psycho admin. Who drives his helies on the road and flies his cars in the sky. (If you kill other players and steal their things (AS YOU ARE TOLD NOT TO DO IN THIS NON-PVP SERVER) he will kill you twice, kidnap you, sexually abuse of you and ban your sorry @ss... before you hit the ground.) Wooly: Friendly admin. (I personally think he's a walking-GPS he can track any vehicle and player instantly.) Cheech: Don't know much about him, only that every time i see him he is holding C4. And many other players with which i have as well set up a camp :3. I enjoy very much my time in this server and i think what makes it so good, is in fact the people that you can find in it, the United Survivors community is the best DayZ community i have ever had the pleasure to meet and i TOTALLY recommend this server to anyone who wants to make friends, learn to play the game or even just play DayZ in a different and fun way.
