If the subject I'll be typing about have been taken up by the devs or if someone else have suggested it you can skip this thread. I have not found anything about it. But vehicles, yes. Right now in the mod it's kind of stupid, if you crash enough the vehicles blow up. I don't find that very realistic, the few times it have happend for me I always look around for Chuck Norris. Therefore vehicles should be able to handle more damage when driving them into things. This beeing said, I still like that vehicles can be damaged and stop work but not explode. ATV and tractors have this issue alot, they can't take alot of damage and even if the engine is green(I have experienced), if you hit a sand corn it will blow you to the moon and stars. Now this I think only goes for ground vehicles like trucks, cars and ATV. Or give vhicles a 20% chance that they blow up if crashed in high speed or shot at. When it comes to air crafts I think they shouldn't blew up so easy either but if you take it nose first in the ground you probably gonna have your head go through your ass. But you should be able to crash land a heli or a plane. But if you hit trees, buildings or ay other stopping points the crash will kill you. Or atleast have a X% to kill. There are so many factors in the mod that will kill you without a doubt while in real life situations where you nicely get control of a heli but still hits the ground you will make it out alive. While in the mod, the second the nose touch the ground it goes boom. So basicly, Aircrafts should be able to be crashlanded if losing of a heli but still maintaining enough control to take down the aircraft safely enough to not make it blow up. And ground vehicles should not blow up as easy. You should be able to use vehicles as aiming targets and it will still stand there but the visual damage will be shown.

Hey guys, Shadow Forces have got a dedicated server running a Chernarus, Namalsk and Taviana map and an ARMA II server on occasion. We use to get 50 players on actively but we switched hosts and lost our player base. As the title says, I have problems with adding vehicles to my map. I edit by transferring DayZ Chernarus map to SPMissions so I can edit withing the game it self(Arma2oa.exe, Mission edit when creating "New" server) I have tried everything there is on the internet, but what ever I do vehicles blow up when I or somebody else enters them, if I place tents they are uninteractive Can't open or pack them) only things that work so far are the junk blockades(ones that Rocket threw around the whole map)/Wire/Wire(CAT1) and Hedgehog-Steel(Tank Traps). And I have tried and managed to do only with dog houses is to remove Zombie spawns(Claimed Faction Areas). So I ask of any owner with even some experience if they can give me a bit of help or advice. If there is some kind of 3rd party program to do this faster and more precise I would appreciate the help. Thanks to all who respond.

Hello DayZ community! I would like to post some info about the private hive server i'm currently running. It's hosted by DayZ.st. We have clear skies, towing, refueling at gastanks, a SafeZone north of Stary, a custom loading screen, and a custom starting gear. We're running 2 servers at the moment, a Chernarus and a Taviana/testing server. I have phpmyadmin for my dayz server. I'm wondering if there's a way to spawn in a vehicle in live time, while the server is up. I know that hackers can do it, but I'm interested in doing it without hacks. Is it possible? If so, how? Thanks -Durga

Hi everybody! Where is it possible to find vehicles, and when I find them should I do something to start them? moreover, it is possible to literally BUILD a vehicle or just repair it?

I think a cool feature for vehicles that would make them less vulnerable to just getting rocked by machine gun fire is to add some feature that allows the passengers of a vehicle to shoot out of their window in a car or out the side of a helicopter with their currently equipped weapon. Also it would be nice to have a feature where i can access my personal gear and not just the gear of the car while riding in it(e.g. Being able to switch weapons from your backpack to your main hand without leaving the car.) Reason for Suggestion: A group of me and my buds were caravanning through certain towns and we were completely vulnerable because of not having this ability to fire out of our windows, yet everyone else was able to shoot at us. Example of Suggestion: Battlefield 3 has this feature and works quite well and really isn't that imbalanced because of the degree of difficulty to actually shoot someone and kill someone while moving on the ground or air. Disclaimer: Sorry if these concepts have already been suggested! New to the forums and a couple weeks new to the game itself. But I do believe these would be neat features to have! Hey, as the title says this is a DayZ server. We are looking for staff. We have over 275 vehicles spawned right now. WE also have custom heli crashes with custom loot tables! This means there can be a variety of guns there that you wouldn't normally be able to find at heli crashes. Currently we have 10 helicopters spawned. I'm going to give away the location for two of them they are in Kopyto by Prigordorki. There is also a secret base that has all the vehicles you'll ever need.
